just found out how to use routine to off charger when battery reached 100% rclxm9.gif , need:
-smart plug such as sonoff (controlled via ewelink app), connect charger to this smart plug
-samsung SmartThings app

link ewelink acc to samsung smartthings > in routine, if:battery is 100%, then:control smartthings, turn off the smart plug

there's quite a lot of smart devices brands that can be linked to samsung SmartThings, when combined with routine the possibility is endless!

no more charge 100% overnight! rclxms.gif

Actually no need to buy Samsung care+, can consider just extending your warranty at Samsung service center (much cheaper than care+)

This below should also cover green screen issue right

Just tested this with Samsung routine

If battery level = 100% (or any percentage you want)
Then battery protect mode on.

This will cut off charging. Simple yet effective
*
ahhh that's great, will test this tomorrow, wonder if it will trickle charge since power is still connected

As far as I know, the act of charging the phone battery to 100% is harming the battery (if your goal is to protect battery health) because Lithium Ion battery works best between 20% and 80% charged. As for leaving the phone plugged at 100% battery, I dont think phone nowadays still have the problem of overcharging after it reached 100%.

The only concern here is whether to let the phone to continue to charge beyond 80% and whether it harms the battery life in long-term.
*
True, 20-80% is the sweet point

Since protect battery only works above 85%, can try the routine i suggested above to off charger at any level of battery we want

I am wondering, what is the point of pre-order when those who did not pre-order can just walk in and get a new phone. Whereas some of those pre-ordering still hasn't got their phone.
*
For EPP, it's cheaper and can get 1TB earliest

Now 1TB out of stock

just tested charging with my newly bought Prolink 5A cable  using samsung 65w adapter. max can get only 35 w charging. wasted my money getting this kind of Cable.
*
QUOTE(Lingohal @ Feb 28 2023, 08:37 PM)
Yes, I mostly see up to 35W only. Even when I used the Prolink 120W charger, I see highest is also about 35W. I don't think I've ever seen anything above 40W before.
*
using the prolink 5A cable with display and 120w charger, can get sfc2.0

can get ~40w, but only when charging from 10-20%, then wattage drops

Am planning to get the prolink 120w charger as well. Will your phone heat up during charging? If yes, how bad is it?
*
feels a bit warm only, much better than note 8's fast charging with ori charger

i think best part of the 120w prolink is can charge laptop, if sfc2.0 feels warm then use the 3A cable that comes with phone for sfc1.0, if still feel warm then use the type a port for fast charging (i barely feel any warmth)

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Feb 28 2023, 10:42 PM)
this, comes with display

Good good, will buy it from lazada as lazada having birthday sales
how you charge until 90% laugh.gif

As protect battery only manage to let us charge until 85%
*
Using routine, works for battery level from 85-100% only since protect battery only stops charging when above 85%

Setting > Modes and routine > Routine > +, then add below:

*

Curious, why are you guys getting third party charger? Why not just get the official samsung 45w charger with cable. I got it for 180 at my local shop.
*
nowadays charger have industrial standards, as long as it's Programmable Power Supply (PPS) + Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 compliant then can use for s23 series

3rd party chargers like below can charge laptop, comes with 4 ports and is less than 200 when on sales

I see...thanks, i might give it a try.
Just worried that the charge will keep the battery at 99 percent in overnight charge. In that case, not much of difference to keep at 100 charged.
*
when protect battery is activated, the wattage shown on cable is zero, so it's not trickle charging

i supposed charging will be paused until it drops below 85%, then it will start charging again
