I'm thinking of making the move from Note20U to S23U but I need some advice:
a. 25W charger head is good enough? Google says 45W just charges a couple of minutes faster
b. Besides the updated camera and newer chip etc, anything else significant?
*
Please do not listen to people saying its only a little faster compared to 25w. It is only a couple minutes faster compared to 25w 0-100. But 0-50 or 70% 45w is faster.

But do note that you will need to charge it in a cool environment to feel the difference as it will throttle down speeds once it exceeds 37c or so on the battery, regardless of battery %.

Did you do these tests within an air con room? Won't be able to achieve that quick of a charge if room temperature, battery temps easily climb up to 36-37c then it'll throttle charging speeds.

I have 3 power rated GAN charger
33W
65W
100W

only the 100W GAN charger able to get Super Fast Charge 2.0. Other just up to Super Fast Charge. Maybe you should try the 100W Gan charger. Samsung may have change the hp charging algorithm in the firmware.

Regardless of the wattage be it 45w / 65w or 100w, if it doesn't support PD 3.0, your Samsung phones won't be able to take advantage of the sfc 2.0 speeds.

Tested this, first I purchased the ugreen 100w, I also thought all were created equal and since this ugreen was quite popular I assumed it supported most if not all the charging protocols , I was wrong.

Sold it off and purchased prolink 100w that supports pd3.0, can charge sfc 2.0. However same case as to another user reported, sometimes either the first or 2nd usb c port will detect sfc 2.0 regardless of both compatible cables. I'm not bothered by it as I only need 1 port to support 45w charging for now. But certainly quite weird.

Just wondering anyone installed camera lens protector?
*
I did since I got my phone. So far no issues.

Only issues I had was the screens and I'm having doubts with it's ability to resist water. Changed screens 3 times due to screen issues.

The charging animation during screen is off is so much smoother now.

Processing of pictures after taken from camera also seems to be faster, needs more testing tho.

If anyone using 0.5x animation will know that they finally fixed the annoying delay, press folder but 1-2 secs only open.

MY S23u went into service centre 3 times already due to display issues. First and 2nd time bring to bathroom kena air sikit, then later next day ghost touch and green screen. They replaced it under warranty, they weren't able to check water damage or whatsoever. Just change screen.

3rd time I terkena the bottom part a bit in swimming pool, less than 3 cm deep. Then go back home rinsed it with water, next day display gone. Sent to service centre they detected water damaged but still changed bottom speaker, frame, display , under warranty.

Didn't know nowadays Samsung water resistance so laoya. I used to bring my s7 into bath rinsed many times also no issue.

Of course I wont be exposing this fragile phone with any more liquids lol.

that is really unfortune for you bro, can we request them to test for the water resistant after repair? or the phone did not seal back properly after change they change the screen?
*
From what the technician there told me, they have a special machine to replace your screen to ensure it is assembled properly with actual working water resistance and they will test it too, probably some pressure related test as I don't think they can afford to submerge our phones to test.

However that doesn't explain why my unit gets water damaged so easily. Not even submerged into water for prolonged periods of time which is rated for 30mins.

Not sure because you soak the phone or what. I only rinse it with soap and water, so far so good. Touch wood
*
Nope , never soak the phone at all , just normal exposed to water splashes , not even directly spray into any ports , more like the water seeped into the phone somehow.

Did you wipe your phone with alcohol based wipe? That could be one reason why the adhesive could be failing.
*
I do however i used normal hand sanitizer with alcohol sometimes but only spray onto tissue then wipe, I don't think that is the cause of it as I do not spray it until like it's dripping wet, just damp.

Shit! My 2yrs old S23 Ultra got the pink light saber today after I updated to One Ui 7.0 last few days.

I took care of my phone very carefully. Ringke casing since day one.

Been loyal to Samsung since Note 5. Changed phone almost every year until 2023. All High end S/Note series. At the end, what do i get from this? I have to pay >RM1000 for replacing the screen, which was damaged by itself due to software update.

Screw it! No more support from me to Samsung. Goodbye, it's been a long ride. And good luck to you all.
*
Sorry to hear that but if it makes you feel better, the price isn't Rm1k, don't refer to Samsung's website for the price. I contacted official service centre and the price is actually lower at RM855 and they guarantee your water resistance will be working fine as they will replace both front and back seal. And yeah I cracked my screen....

Update on my Samsung S23 Ultra issue (dead pixels):

Today I went to the Samsung Service Center at Lowyat Plaza for the dead pixel problem near the camera bump. The staff told me the whole screen needs to be replaced and it would cost around RM1300 including all fees. They also mentioned dead pixels usually spread across the screen over time, and in my case it might have been caused by “pressure on that area”  though honestly, I never dropped this phone. I’ve only been using it as a backup device, mostly at home or in the car, so it’s been handled with care.

My device is 1 year 2 months old ,already out of warranty. I requested if they could replace the screen the same way they are doing for the green line cases, but they refused. Apparently, Samsung only covers the green line issue under their special replacement program, but not dead pixels.

Honestly, I feel like Samsung’s quality has gone downhill these days. For a flagship device like the S23 Ultra, you really don’t expect dead pixels to appear this soon, especially with such light usage. Quite disappointing to see this kind of issue .

Just sharing my experience here in case anyone else runs into the same situation.

They overcharged you is it? I just changed my screen few months back and it costed rm8xx
