Thanks for sharing! didn't know about this. That's what I like about Samsung UI...very little thing but adds a lot of convenience and human friendly UI.

does anyone know what's the default factory storage used for the S23 128gb version? Planning to get 1 for around 2.2k, but i googled, fresh out of the box, 60gb is already used by the system, so that means just around 50gb usable storage space which is very little. But that's for other country, not Malaysia.
*
I can see about 43 GB under "System" when I check the Storage. Not sure if that's the only space they are using.

Did you turn on "Alternate game performance management" in game booster?
*

No this option will make it heat up considerably. I just thought you turned it on by accident.

The option is in Game booster > Game booster settings > Labs
*
Oh...no I didn't turn it on but the phone gets very hot when gaming for like 30 minutes...and then the game lags when it gets hot sweat.gif

according to Spigen website it's TPU

usually these kind of soft flexible material inhibits heat dissipation, maybe u try to game with case removed see how
*
Ah I see...let me try.

This Samsung S23+ is the best phone I've used so far..very good UI and very good battery. Managed to use for whole day without charging until 11pm...with about 10% battery left and SOT around 9 hours+

hi fellow s23 users, there are 2 green lines appeared in my s21 screen, would like to hear from all, whether worth to buy s23 or i should wait for s24? eg, the camera, the UI, etc, are you happy with your s23 till now?
*
Unsure what chipset S24 gonna use...if it's gonna be shittynox then thanks but no thanks. I would stick to S23. I am happy with my S23+ experience...superb battery and UI!

I had 2 Samsung phones with Exynos..both also giving me issues like bad battery performance, Wifi and 4G signals...never again I'll buy Samsung with shittynox.

Basically no reason to choose soc anymore. The only thing that matters to Samsung is fast charging 80w and above. Once they implement that, power savings doesn't matters anymore.

One thing for sure, soc is flatlining now. Why? Games are mostly locked to 60fps. They are not going to unlock that. Only china games unlock this high 90/120 but not applicable for phones with global rom.

Hence like I said, mobile chip sale is going down big time. It's mostly software updates that is pushing users to upgrade. My S9+ time is almost up. RHB already stopped supporting Android 8 for mobile banking. Android 9 is coming and that's where my S9+ is stuck.

Ultra still snapdragon , still can buy..but I need to know more details about their decision to change to 5x from 10x on their camera
*
I don't mind on the SOC and gaming performance but I care more about the battery efficiency.

This.

Majority dont play games. Majority want their phones to last longer on a single charge.
*
My past 2 Samsung flagship phone with Shittynox has bad battery efficiency. The current S23+ with Snapdragon is a god send...I can use the phone like whole day until 11pm and still have 10% battery left with 7-8 hours SOT.

I'm using S23 and have no issues getting 7-8 hours sot within a day. I just wish samseng implemented a proper 45w charging for all models.
*
Because the battery efficiency is good unless you game too much on it, I don't really need a fast or 45w charging..I just charge at night when I sleep and unplug it when I wake up then it's good to go for whole day usage.

Golden Reviewer says 8 gen 3 only 13% faster than 8 gen 2 but consumes 28% more battery. His reviews are mostly correct since Snapdragon 888 & 8 gen1.
*
Then I rather stick with gen 2..i prefer longer battery life. Don't really need that fast cpu.

The battery efficiency and management for this gen is good man..I used my phone heavily for my trip in Japan for photo taking and GPS navigation. It manages to survived until end of the day with like 10% battery left. I had a bit of anxiety thinking should I pull out my powerbank and charge it when it had about 40% battery left but turns out it can last until I reached my hotel.

Why not turn on power saving mode? Would stop those background app from updating which isnt necessary during a trip. Save a bit more power for other things like photography.
*
That's one way...but I feel it makes the phone laggy which I dont like.
