This problem seems very common and can read about it in the Facebook group for S series. They say buy a special glue from shoppe and glue themselves, provided battery is not swollen.
*
Not going to bother fixing this anymore, going to trade this phone in for an Iphone
It is actually cheaper just to replace the battery at the same time, cause they need to install the back glass regardless

Luckily I bought Samsung care+, warranty until next year hassle free

Didnt read through, just know the size is big with tons of descriptions below

I just dont trust Samsung's quality anymore
Last year my S21u kena the same thing, replaced battery and adhesive
Last week my S21FE kena screen greeline, replaced for RM600+
This week my S23U kena rear glass detatched...

Moreover, the CS's attitude is bad...

Samsung got plenty of hard core supporters. From S20 kena green line, still buy S21, kena again, buy S22, kena again and still buy S23..... So far didn't kena yet.
That's why CS attitude is bad cause they know, customers will continue to buy. Unless Huawei hidup again.

Used to be their hardcore supporter
S2,S3,S5,S6E,S7E,S9,S10,S21FE,S21U,S23U
Note 2,3,4,5,7,9,20U

Not anymore, going to be an Apple user soon

U bad luck with samsung....
*
Not even bad luck,
Gree line issues are common on Samsung's 120Hz AMOLED screens, never been fixed or acknowledged by Samsung officially
Lousy adhesive common as well

It is not about luck, it is all about bad materials+refused to take responsibility

You can't talk logic with hardcore supporters. Even if they kena, will just say bad luck and buy newer models. Really admire those kena 3 times from S20 S21 S22 and still support S23 S24. 😂
That's why Samsung don't bother to be responsible on the screen.
Unless Huawei comes back.

Someone already kena, S23u
This fella bought the phone last year for replacing his iphone
Didnt use it in the end because cetain data cannot be moved, he only use it occasionally for taking pictures
2/9, green line on the screen when he turned it on
Right after warranty has ended as well

SC told him need to pay full amount, for a phone that is pretty much brand new

sometimes, it's like having moister in speaker or lagging

Mine is getting worse recently, I've seen people commented removing sim card tray from the phone and put it back will solve it temporary
It is basically something to do with air pressure

Went to Samsung SC to replace the battery as the back cover is falling off due to adhesive loosing strength, total damage RM215...
And they told me it will take around a week since the parts are not readily avaliable...and they left this on my receipt

Out of warranty? Do you have Samsung Care+? Which Service Centre did you go to? The RM215 includes both the Rework Kit (adhesive) and the battery? Do you have to leave the phone there for one week or can take back first and go again when stock is available?

I'm sending in mine too, same problem as well. I would also like the battery to be replaced too.
*
Yes, out of warranty for months now, no care package
RM215 for battery plus the adhesive kit
I sent it to The Gardens, supposed to be the best SC around since they are right beside Samsung HQ
I left the phone there, using backup 16PM at the moment…it is a nightmare
I think they are ok with you waiting for parts before sending the phone in, need to contact them to double check ya

QUOTE(PJng @ Dec 14 2024, 10:57 AM)
Still remember my old A7 2016, back cover opened half, i send samsung pyramid, staff say maybe battery bloated, so i request change battery and glue back back cover, RM250,
Since i pay a visit, and so stock at the time, i ask can order for me, next week i come
And complete on same day, at the time of waiting i watch 1 movie
*
I think this is the 4th time something like this has happened to my Samsung phone…
Note 20U, S21FE, S21U,S23U
My friend’s 23U back cover detached early this year but when he requested Samsung to put it back… they are only willing to press it back using a machine
They refused his battery claim as well
He ended up visiting CS 3 times, when the PIC finally agreed to perform the repair as per his request under warranty…

So even phone IP68, cannot trust, because of back cover glue to strong
*
Yes, and the scary thing is
For Samsung phones…the failures always come in stages
1st the adhesive will go
Then the battery
Finally the screen…

That’s why I switched to team A but immediately regretted due to 3rd party keyboard on IOS being shit plus the OS is filled with bugs

Yeah, I’m going to trade my 16PM in once 25U is out
Not because I’m a Samsung Fan…just because their competitors are horribly behind

A bit typo, back cover glue not strong

I stick samsung because of 2, samsung pay, and software support
And i don like ios eco
*
Hi five, I would keep using Apple if their wallet supports the banks I'm using
But no, I've been waiting for months now...
Furthermore the camera is about the same level as S20~21 series, with a redundant camera side button that only plastic man can use
Face ID is not as convinient as fingerprint (It cant ident me when I woke up without spectacle on my face lol)
I've been trying to trade that phone in for a while now, compasia doesnt wanna take it
Guess I will wait for a few months then, should still be enough to cover S25U's price tag

QUOTE(Gratitude2022 @ Dec 14 2024, 11:39 AM)
If not because of Trump and google, Huawei is the best competitor to Samsung. In fact it's better in many ways.
*
Not really, I have a mate 20 in my pocket since launch
The back cover detached after a year
Then the proximity sensor died
Followed by the volume button, battery, and a second set of proximity sensor

However there's one thing Samsung can learn from Huawei
Their signal reception...
I can still browse FB in the lift while my dad is struggling to make a phone call

Ugh, so much for the flagship SC huh...

Well, I'm not sending this phone in again as I just want to get rid of the iPhone in my pocket...

What da hell is that? Samsung dont use glue, only use tape. Impossible looking like that.

The Gardens...
I need the phone urgently so I just let it slip
Still...not happy with the 3xp

How you guys adhesive became ineffective so fast? Mine also suffering mild adhesive issue but not until whole casing falling off though.

And if have care+ why need to call care+ 1st? Don't understand. I thought straight go to SC, they will settle everything?

Lastly, Garden's SC still the best?
*
No idea, my friend's 23U is the first to have the back cover detached due to weak adhesive and he was only 10 months in
Mine around 2 years
Probably because of the thick phone cases we are using
And here's Garden's workmanship for you
They didnt even bother to clean the old adhesive properly

Accidentally throw my phone on to ceramic tiled floor yesterday, immediately something's wrong with the touch screen (not accurate, needs to press down hard on the screen for the touch to register). However, no visible damage to the screen...

I cant even login into the device using pattern anymore, despite changing the sensitivity of the screen to high

So...this one definitely screen kaput?

Anyone had replace s23u battery?

Mine back case seem got open up abit. Since already use 2yr+ d, want to replace battery too

What is the cost for battery replacement?
*
RM215 for battery plus the adhesive kit at Samsung SC
I will stick to SC mainly because of the possibility of replacing the screen due to green lines

Sorry to hear that but if it makes you feel better, the price isn't Rm1k, don't refer to Samsung's website for the price. I contacted official service centre and the price is actually lower at RM855 and they guarantee your water resistance will be working fine as they will replace both front and back seal. And yeah I cracked my screen....
*
Wait what??? for 23U the screen replacement is only 855???? Really????
