I tried but it can only be seen very closely.. might dropby a service center tomorrow. Anyone u here claimed warranty from Samsung before? Is it tedious? If I send in tomorrow will I get back the phone on the spot or I need my own old phone as standby? Dunno how to upload the photo to be at smaller file size 😅😅 here...
Just took a photo and upload in another link can see here...

Is that ReVanced stable so far...?
*
a bit more unstable than the old vanced (sometimes open app, no video loads and only placeholders are visible, need to close and reopen again)
more customisable than the old vanced (can choose different patches)
higher version than the old vanced (since old vanced is discontinued)
a bit more manual steps to install
- need to uninstall latest youtube update
- install a specific version of youtube which revanced is compatible with
- run revanced manager and choose patches u want and then start the process (revanced manager will use the youtube u have installed and re-compile it into youtube revanced as a separated installation)

maybe this one is related: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/accesso...rs/td-p/5671555

I have both 65W and 45W authentic chargers from samseng, the screenshots those buyers have uploaded in the laz link u sent, neither one of them are the same with mine.
especially the texts.
Attached Image

i also noticed that the link I posted, if u read, he mentioned about 2 plastic pins. from the pictures posted by laz buyers, no plastic pin is observed. could be an authentic charger from different country, or different time. could also not be...

So far how is yall battery lasting on the S23U, I've been getting like probably a a day+ with some light to moderate usage. Toggling BT on and off because I feel like that really eats the battery up.

Was wondering how some can get up to 2 days? 🤔
*
if u see 2 days, more than half the time is standby mode and samseng is handling that pretty well on that aspect for this iteration. if averaging 5h SOT a day, so 2 days will be ez for s23u.
on average, I can easily get 7h SOT with more than 40% battery left. today's SOT is already past 7h and I still have 43%. 8h SOT means I'd have about 35% or more depending on usage.

Wondering why some can get 8 to 9 hour SOT.sync off.background off.ram plus off.on wifi .FHD resolution.this is the max i can get.

*
weird battery life u have there...I'm using QHD all the time and if I were to have the same amount of SOT u had in the screenshot, I would have 45% battery and above.
what about location access and bluetooth? both these will drain battery. should turn off location access and let apps to run location while in app. try testing it out and see.

i'm not sure what apps can monitor usages like service usage, beyond what the stock battery usage monitor in settings can offer. perhaps something like gsam or others over here can also recommend a good one

Wow, interesting. Usually do you really do or use in terms of apps that can last so high SOT. Just wondering  blink.gif
*
netflix, youtube (revanced), spotify, discord, reddit, facebook are the most frequent ones. I don't game on mobile tho, games are for PC/console's sake. my old note 9 would've drained like crazy even with 2h netflix and would get very warm. 2h netflix now on s23u only put a small dent.

Yes. I did some comparing. IG video stories uploaded with iphone is FHD. But android HD only. Although it looks worse than HD. Maybe 480p only. Now there's settings to upload on highest quality. It works, but not all the time. Sometimes still uploaded on HD only.

It's sad tbh. We can record in freaking 8k. But once you want to show off to people, it compressed to HD.

Samsung also have this problem is it? I haven't tried yet myself but my previous phones I use to send pic always looks bad on (for example) WhatsApp.
*
this is not samsung, or generally android's problem per se, this is because of meta platform (fb, insta, whatsapp) generally favors iOS than android in their software. hell even snapchat (not meta platform) has better quality on iphone even though samseng and google "partner" with them to "optimize the quality for snapchat".

I think their excuses are that they want to maintain compatibility with many android phones (ranging from very low memory and weak processor to high memory strong processor) while iOS is just one ecosystem which grants easy work-for-all-device solutions. last I heard, some apps even use "screen recording" to take photos in android, while accessing the camera directly to take photos in iOS.

Another better way to trigger screenshot, which is to use RegiStar under Good Lock. Then you can set to take screenshot while back-tapping your phone. To me there is really no better function other than screenshot to go with the back-tapping gesture. To make it easier, you can set both double and triple tapping for screenshot so you will not miss a moment you intended to.

Just done my 2nd discharge and charging. Below is what I found.

Device Setting:
[Remain the same]

Major Changed:
- No gaming activity (previously 1 h 28 m gaming)
- Use ShopBack for 25 mins

Result:
- 25 h 54 m usage from 100% to 1%
- 7 h 44 m SOT
- ShopBack apps alone consume 15% battery with just 25 mins usage according to AccuBattery Pro (sharp drop around Time Bar 5 to 6 in screenshot below)
- Overnight standby drain of 5% over 7 hrs Screen Off Time (from 18% to 13%)
- Charging time from 1% to 100% with standard charging: (GSamBMP seems more accurate on actual full charge)
‎ ‎ ‎ 3 h 25 m according to GSam Battery Monitor Pro (99% to 100% take almost 41 mins)
‎ ‎ ‎ 3 h 8 m according to AccuBattery Pro

Conclusion:
- Can concluded that without gaming alone can improved your SOT by around 100% comparing to gaming SOT usage.
- ShopBack apps is very power hungry and with itself alone can only get you estimated 2.5 - 3.0 hrs SOT from 100% full charge.
- Assuming that without ShopBack apps running and no gaming while keeping the rest of device setting the same, you can probably get estimated 9 hrs SOT or more.
- By enable "Keep Open" on AccuBattery Pro from Recent Apps, it is able to avoid getting killed by system and able to record single full charge session of 1% to 100% instead of being "chopped".
- AccuBattery Pro is also able to detect a full charge and give an estimated capacity of 4,903 mAh. (official rated battery capacity was 4,855 mAh)
- Suspected there is an issue with my charger due to longer than expected charging time. Will re-test this again.

good analysis on your end. during the standby, are you able to determine what is/are using the most battery out of the 5% drain?

just fyi,

the cable which came alongside s23/s23u box supports only USB 2.0.
the 5A cable that came alongside your 45W adapter, as well as the ones purchased online, also USB 2.0.

make sure you have proper USB 3.2 cable to take advantage of the max transfer speed your phone can provide.

do you mean the usb c- c cable?

I thought usb c - usb c already quite fast
*
USB A/B/C is just the physical connector format

I can have a USB C-C which only supports USB 2.0 and not 3.2, which is what samsung has given to all of us

you need a USB cable which is rated USB 3.2 (or USB 3.1 Gen 2, USB 3 Gen 2) to get the full bandwidth s23/s23u can support, regardless of if your cable is USB A-C or C-C.

thanks for that, i learn something new everyday.

Just wondering, i have many usb c - c cables. If i buy a converter eg something like this (pic attached)

there will not be significant loss of speed/charging etc right? like how hdmi quality drops over the length of the cable

user posted image
*
you can read what is rated for the adapter
the adapter you showed is only rated USB 2, so you'll just get USB 2 speed (~50MB/s usually)
if your cable is a USB3 cable, then put on an adapter like this (converting C header to A for example), it'll bottleneck the bandwidth

also I notice the adapter can support PD3.0, maybe can also support 100W charging. no full datasheet so I cannot deduce.

X6 pro 3x zoom shot does made s23ultra 3x shot looks like a trash. Sadly no global release. And samsung is better in video.
*
x6 pro, not only 3x zoom, but the main camera, ultrawide camera also trash s23u. the clarity in the ultrawide cam is nuts.
the ultrawide and telephoto cameras are using the same sensor module found in oneplus 11's main camera. 1/1.56" IMX890.

it's a healthy competition, later phones trash older phones. sooner or later I'll see iphone 15 lineup trashes all of these phones including s23u not only on camera, perhaps also on CPU, GPU, software and overall ecosystem improvement like extremely seamless connection with pod, watch, apple tv and more. (side note: I also recently realised that iOS's QR code scanner is miles ahead of any other android's QR code scanning suite).

at the end of the day, a useable camera is a useable camera innocent.gif
