I'm with Celcom and been using 5G for weeks now in klang valley.
Personally, other than fast download speeds, I'm experiencing mediocre latency.
Running a lot of opensignal tests when I'm in new places, and I'm getting latency of 10ms or even higher.
This is poor. This is just similar to LTE (4G). Anyone getting better figures? If yes, which telco?

our current 5G is still based on NSA using 4G as the core. off course lah cannot get true 5G latency.

DNB is build fot build, not build for purpose .. They will never understand needs and wants of the users

Coverage should be the same, if your telco enabled 5G in your area. I came across that Celcom don't enable 5G, slower than others, for their users in some newly DNB covered areas. Quality should be the same. As for why DNB don't opt for 5G SA networks from the start, SA networks needs new 5G SA SIM cards to enable 5G connection. That's mean all users will have to pay for the new SIM, but with very limited coverage. Telco will need to install new 5G core network, that also takes time.

Where do you live? I'm in KL and PJ area, all 5G with very strong signal strength (Celcom)
but like I shared, the latency isnt as promised by 5G promoters. I'm still getting LTE latency.

Anyone here knows whether Yoodo have 5G activated already or not, since its sister company to Celcom.
As I know only Maxis need to wait after CNY Feb then possibly activated.

For me 5G is a good to have, but not a necessity. But since we are already paying good money for it....

for me, just using existing prepaid plan. not paying anything extra at all for 5G.
Just woke up one day and realize the signal already switched to 5G.
The download and upload speed is VERY good. Just kinda disappointed not getting "advertised" 5G latency is all.
But definitely gonna use 5G instead of LTE. Battery consumption, dont feel any difference at all.
I keep my mobile data ON at all times.

You can use Yes 5G with no FUP currently, only RM30, if auto pay then only RM 25 per month

The lousy digi says my plan no 5G. That's why. Digi says minimum must pay rm90 per month for 5G. That's ridiculous. Anyways my place 4G+ can reach 300mbps. Should be satisfied with it eventhough no 5G yet

lol, I don't think RM60 can get a 30mbps unlimited internet
you need around hundred or more for better unlimited internet with almost no FUP

the prepaid below RM100 I think all got slower limited speed with FUP

It is always like this ,use 2G is most battery save :-)
