did the plumber adjust the floating ball height that controls the valve when they replace the set?

Normally it shouldnt happen and the only problem is whether the plumber replaced a new or a used set ?

Since you cant diy, I suggest you buy a new complete set with the ball float and then engage a plumber to do it.

If you pay a plumber to check, the labour cost is about the same to replace.

Also tell the plumber to lower the float level.

My bad, it was not a question, it was a statement. I've changed the valve again, so far, it is not overflowing.
