They is no HDR for budget around RM 800.
Your budget is only applicable for 24" as it is way too low for 27" as well.

I recommend AOC 24G2SP (240hz 1080p IPS) for your budget, which meets all of your requirements except HDR.
I bought at RM 749 earlier month.

Hey dudes, I'm starting to look around for new monitors but haven't caught up with the market for the last couple of years. Currently using 2 Samsung 24' Full HD monitors but one of them is pretty worn and is not using HDMI/DisplayPort, hence, looking to upgrade the older one.

My monitors are mainly used for work/browsing while connected to my laptop and my PC (through 1 x HDMI and 1 x D-sub) and occasionally, I'll game but not too hardcore (like 60fps is good enough for me since it's mostly JRPGs and occasional PS5).

Just curious is there like a common recommendation for something around 24-27' and having 1080p/1440p (75hz is decent enough I guess)? Not too sure if there are any brands to avoid as well.

They is no good monitor in budget RM 500. Sorry.

HDMi 1.4 can support up to 144hz in 1080p
DP 1.2 can support up to 240hz in 1080p.
