TT Vision Holdings Bhd - Manufacturer of Machine Vision Equipment
PublicInvest Publish date: Fri, 06 Jan 2023, 09:29 AM Wholly-owned subsidiaries of TT Vision Holdings Bhd (TTVHB), i.e. TT Vision Technologies S/B (TT Vision) and TT Innovation Centre S/B (TT Innovation), are principally involved in the development and manufacturing of machine vision equipment. Complementarily, TTVHB provides other related products and services that include: i) upgrading works on existing equipment, ii) supply of spare parts for its manufactured equipment, iii) maintenance and repair work on its manufactured equipment, iv) sales of relevant proprietary software product, and v) provision of training services. The group's machine vision equipment is primarily used for the inspection of optoelectronics, solar cells, discrete components and integrated circuits (ICs). TTVHB's customers are mainly manufacturers within the semiconductor industry where most of the group's machine vision equipment are deployed and incorporated along their various manufacturing processes. Moving forward, apart from carrying out proactive marketing activities by participating in more exhibitions and conferences, TTVHB intends to engage in continuous research and development (R&D) activities to keep abreast with new developments / evolutions in technology, as well as to develop new products and enhance existing equipment with the aim of strengthening its position in the industry. We derive a fair value of RM0.46 based on a c.20x PE multiple to its FY23F EPS of 2.3sen. The IPO is expected to raise approximately RM28.7m from the issuance of 84.5m new shares. Besides utilising 37.2% of the proceeds for working capital requirements, 27.9% and 3.0% of the proceeds are allocated for R&D expenditure and marketing activities, respectively. Growth drivers. TTVHB’s growth will be driven by: i) continuous R&D activities, ii) development of new products, iii) enhancement of existing equipment, and iv) proactive marketing activities by participating in more exhibitions and conferences. Competitive strengths. TTVHB’s competitive strengths include: i) having a robust track record as a manufacturer of machine vision equipment, ii) established business relationships with its major customers, iii) having R&D capabilities for product innovation and development, and iv) having experienced management, engineering, production and R&D team. Catalysts. Key drivers may include: i) evolving technologies (and customers’ needs), ii) growth in electricals and electronics (E&E) sector in Malaysia that is supported by the robust external demand for semiconductor components, iii) growing solar industry in Malaysia with a developed solar industry cluster, and v) continuing government support in Malaysia. Key risks. Key downside risks, among others, include: i) competition from industry players, ii) reliance on growth and performance of the user industries, iii) dependency on certain major customers, iv) disruption in global supply chain, and v) foreign exchange fluctuation. PETALING JAYA: TA Research has derived a fair value of 60 sen per share for TT Vision Holdings Bhd, which aims to raise RM28.7mil through its listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia with an issue price of 34 sen per share.
In a report, the research house said the derivation of its fair value, based on price-to-earnings (PE) multiple of 20 times its financial year 2023 (FY23) earnings per share, came after consideration of TT Vision’s growth prospects. The prospects are backed by the rising adoption of renewable energy including solar photovoltaic systems and energy efficient lighting including light-emitting diode lighting.“For reference, our target PE multiple of 20-times represents a discount of 17% to local peers in the technology space, comprising automated test equipment and automation solutions providers, which trade in the range of 17.5 times to 33.9 times against FY23 earnings per share,” it said. “Furthermore, we have also taken into account TT Vision’s proven track record and established relationship with multinational companies,” the research house added. Elaborating on its proven track record, TA Research said TT Vision has an operating history of 20 years as a manufacturer of machine vision equipment. According to the research house, TT Vision’s equipment caters to the optoelectronics, solar, as well as discrete components and integrated circuit sectors within the semiconductor industry. “TT Vision’s proven track record has provided the group with the platform to secure potential customers while serving its existing customer base,” it noted. StarPicks THE DAWN OF FOSSIL FUEL? WHAT’S NEXT FOR SUBSURFACE SOLUTIONS On its financial highlights, the research house said TT Vision’s revenue grew at a two-year compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 51.3% to RM47.3mil in FY21, driven by increased volumes of machine vision equipment. “In tandem with the robust revenue growth and accompanying economies of scale, bottom line improved from a net loss of RM4.3mil in FY19 to a net profit of RM8.3mil in FY21. “In terms of profitability, the uptrend in revenue-led net profit margin to climb from a 20.9% decrease in FY19 to a 17.6% increase in FY21,” it added. Moving forward, TA Research forecast TT Vision’s revenue and core net profit to grow at a three-year CAGR of 15% and 25% to RM71.8mil and RM16.3mil in FY24 respectively, underpinned by increased volumes of machine vision equipment for optoelectronics, solar cells, and discrete components and integrated circuits. On near-term earnings visibility, the research house said TT Vision had secured purchase orders of RM20.8mil as at Nov 30, 2022.
