nowadays see a lot of kindergarten
they charge so expensive

how we know it is safe to send our kid there?
I notice some kindergarten never even bother to check if really the parent is the one who collect the kid
also can any tom, dick, harry walk into kindergarten and kidnap kid?

How we know if the kindergarten is legit or not?
so scared nowadays see so many sex abuse and even physical abuse

Also, at what age we send? 3 years old? 3.5 years? 4 years old?

Think need to wait until kid is old enough to be able tell back to parents what happened than to be kiasu send kid too young, kena abused also don;t know, come back home also dunno how to tell.

also how to train your kid to protect from being sexually abused or sexually groomed ?

How to check with govt to know if kindergarten is registered or not?

I would suggest you arrange a visit to the kindergarten.
Perhaps also do your own "spying" when school finishes to see how they arrange the kid collection.
you can ask these questions to the teacher/principal there yourself.

About age to send, it depends on your kid as well.
I prefer to send my kid when he is already potty-trained.
knows how cleanup after himself. doesnt wear diapers.
My son didnt wear diapers around 2 plus, and potty trained just before 3 years old.
but i didnt send him to school because of covid.

i send him when he was at 5 years old, when proper SOP has been established, no more zoom classes and cases are not that worrysome anymore.

Cases like sex and physical abuse normally happen in boarding school where the warden or person in charge has full control of the child for long term.

Treat kindergarden as a social place for children instead of education ... parents will be less stressed.

Seriously bro. One cannot be too paranoid of everything. Else u will live with fear at all times, getting no things done.

Average price of kiddy is about 400+ morning session. Other charges including enrolment, semester, uniform, tools, and afternoon extra classes/daycare.

More expensive kiddy / famous kiddy do recognise parents or they make the guardian carry a card or something.

U can check registered kiddy here https://www.malaysia.gov.my/portal/content/29449

I went to kiddy at 5 years old, for 2 years. Kids nowadays at 3, or 4. Depending on parents working or not. If working, sending to kiddy would be the most ideal choice.

Kiddy got CCTV. At lobby, at classroom, corridors etc. I don't think u can be sure of any sexual predators amongst the teachers, but if it's any consolation, check if your teachers are females or makes.
Most sexual predators are males. And MOST kiddy takes in only female teachers.

How to train your kids from being groomed? I guess that's difficult. I do believe u are overthinking.

I send at age 5. Let them enjoy kids life happy at daycare / sitter / home before stuck in routine life going to school till university.

Don’t mind spend x,xxx per month for high security fully gated pre school, to enter need to have car sticker, landyard etc. So many crazy people nowadays go to school and attack innocent children like in Thailand, USA. although in Malaysia never happen, money can find. Kids safety is most important. They so young, don’t even know need to run or hide at that situation

I send mine since 8 months old. Even before I send, the nursery actually warned parents that they will report to authorities should there be any signs of child abuse. And minor injuries, I.e fall at nursery or bruises they will put it in a form and ask parents to sign. I'm a believer of early education as I can see my daughter since the age of 3 already can converse with adults without fear or being shy. I pay through my nose tho at £1.75k per month. That means I already paid like £70k and she has yet to even start school..

UK regulation states that:

0 - 2 years - one adult to three children.
2 - 3 years - one adult to four children.
4 - 8 years - one adult to six children.

Try to look for nursery that maintain such ratio or have a low ratio.. because that would mean more teachers in a classroom.

I send mine to nursery/preschool since 3 months old.
Now my daughter is 6 and next year will graduate from the school and go to primary 1.

Go do site visit before deciding, check on the teacher vs kids ratio. Then if possible talk to other parents with kids there to see what's their opinion.

The school my daughter went charge us around 2.5k per month. From morning till 6pm.

Only registered person can pick up the kids and got apps that will notify you when kid go into and out of school with pictures. If not the registered person want to pick up the kid the school will call the parents/guardians first to confirm.

I sent my kid to kindergarten at the age of 4. But I wished I had did it earlier at 3. Even at 4, due to MCO, we spent a bulk of the time doing silly online class. The earlier your kid is being brought into a social setup, the faster they learn and grasp skills. We started with a big class kindergarten but was eventually being kicked out from there with the reason they couldn't handle our kid. Even one of his classmate was ejected. And this happened after 1.5 years at that silly kindergarten. Why only after 1.5 years only (they need money especially during MCO). We ended up at a much smaller kindergarten at 6-7 kids per class (it's rare in Malaysia). His ex-classmate was reunited back at this new place. Fast forward 6 months and had our first PTM. Everything is excellent and our kid is much much happier and never once doesn't want to go to school.Teachers are very patient and our kid picked so many things from academic wise and most important other important life skills. Of course we paid similar price to international school kindergarten at around 22K a year for half day (but the teacher to student ratio in international school is usually even much worst) but we are glad fate brought us to the current school. So, don't be afraid to send your kids earlier. The more sensory they are exposed to, the better they will develop. Just make sure they are potty trained. Our kid was potty trained very early and although he was wearing a diaper until 22 months but at around 1 year old he was wearing it just in case if accidentally pee or poo. Most kindergarten is very particular about this diaper part and potty train.

this is also what I am thinking

i visited many kindergarten and find their security lacking.

they don't even bother to provide tag cards to parents to ensure no stranger come and falsely claim as the father or mother.

3 yrs old can send. Better let them learn communication skills. Stay at home won't learn much. Later become introvert.

nowadays I see they charge 800 a month, for half day mon-friday.

isn't it a bit steep?

its even more expensive than sending children to independent school for senior middle.

But if amount paid is all inclusive cost, take care etc, then very justifiable.

RM800/20 a month, about rm40/day about rm4/hour/pax

Started my eldest from the age of 2.5 years old and no regrets. Her communication skills grew exponentially and she's no longer timid. Since she extends her stay after for daycare, she mixes with kids double her age and is able to hold a proper conversation. The worst thing we can do for our kids is keep them trapped at home in isolation and not go out and experience what we used to do as kids which is to mingle and play with other children.

Mine started going daycare are 3 mths

Then once 1 year old, switch to half play school + day care

I did alot of research before shortlisting a few. Then go and visit them before deciding which one to send

Good to hv reviews from friends and fb

Then shortlist

Going young is good. Kids are more sociable and learn more things and happier, provided it's a fun and good pre school, stay at home with nanny or maid for 3 years really no learning. Watch TV only if lucky. Unlucky will be abuse lo cos u can't find review on nanny and maid ma.

Bad thing is always sick lo, so be ready for illness every once a mth for 2 years before thye get more immune
