Abit underwhelming. X5 is downgrade camera and charging speed from last year x4 pro 5g, everything else is literally the same. If its priced the same, might aswell get the x4 pro 5g. The x5 pro is using the old 778g from like 3 years ago. Wheres 6 gen 1 or 7 gen 1, been waiting forever for these 2 chipset.

Ya the 7+ gen 1 seems interesting since its from tsmc fab. My beef is that in these 2-3 years since covid, Qualcomm seems to has stagnant more than mediatek. Like every other midranger will have either 695 or 778g. Thats it, only revolved around those 2. Meanwhile for midrange mediatek got dimensity 700, 810, 900, 920 etc. Hell even some of their more powerful lineup like dimensity 1080, 1000, 1200, 8100 already trickled to proper affordable midrange phones. I'm not interested in buying phones with kidney expensive chipset but if going with Qualcomm midrange, got that 2 option 695 and 778g only. If going for 860 then its rebadged ancient 855 only and 870 rebadged 865. Basically not too many choices with qualcomm.

Lol the x5 is priced very similar to last year x4 pro 5g with dowgrade camera and charging speed. Its like few years ago where xiaomi spammed the market with sd625.

Finally, global f5 is a phone that made me itchy wanna upgrade. Perfomance wise my current xiaomi 11t is still fast even after a year and a half but wanna try snapdragon, plus abit more storage than 128gb. My last 3 phones have been using exynos, kirin and mediatek.

There is an advantage. Clear, no disconnect voice call if mobile signal terrible at that place. Not all place have good signal even in 2023.
