Does gcam improves poco f5 camera?
*
Gcam is rather buggy on Poco F5
Need to find specific builds/configs that work
Otherwise most of them just crash on launch

You got a computer kan? Try use adb method. Download adb app control here https://adbappcontrol.com/en/

Follow the guide and uninstall just few unnecessary apps

My list of apps to be uninstalled:

1. Get Apps (Xiaomi own app store, unnecessary as it doesn't have exclusive or first party apps unlike Samseng store, for inbox app just use system app updater)

2. Game centre (adware and worse than Samseng game hub)

3. Xiaomi browser (not the fans of this browser, Samseng browser much better)

4. YouTube and YouTube music (replaced them with revanced)
Some apps just hide it is enough:
Xiaomi music, Xiaomi video, share me (uninstall) etc

For other inbox apps, just turn off recommendation just like the guide above
Warning: don't uninstall security or you'll face bootloop

An alternative to that app

Unrelated, new Global update just dropped
V14.0.8.0.TMRMIXM

Stable Beta branch

After this should be HyperOS in Q1 2024

I am still undecided on upgrading to HyperOS since it essentially closes the door to bootloader unlocking

U can remove most bloatware using UAD

I'm using this to remove unnecesary apps in my F4, F5 and F5 Pro

There's also the ancient old Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools (XAFT) by Saki/Szaki

Official GitHub page is long gone but copies of it are still floating around on the internet

It's outdated and doesn't list all the apps but I prefer it's UI

Hi, I've also been using Redmi all this while too...no issues since RN2. But recently my Redmi 9T has an issue... dunno if you experienced before or know about it.

First,  starting 2 weeks ago, I couldn't double tap to wake up the phone... had to use on/off button

Then yesterday, I tried to reboot the phone through the "accessibility menu" but it wouldn't reboot but went dead as if powered off. Tried to switch it on with the on/off button but it wouldn't switch on

Went to a repair shop & they told me the "legs of the cpu on the mother board needs to be repaired" - he said the connection is failing. Quoted rm300+ to do the repair.

Might you know if this is a common problem or the repair tech BS me?  TQ

Xiaomi has a few unfortunate phones that just have bad QC and die often

Redmi 9T might be one of them as my friend's one has issues, and there are a few forum posts here

Poco X3 Pro is another famous one, that one was dropping like flies
Seems to be a power IC related issue for that one

Thinking to get Redmi Note 13. My last experience with Xiaomi is Mipad 2 where there is no google play and have difficulty to install apps (if my memory serves me right). Need apk files, something like that.

Is it still the same or there is already an access to Google Play now, all the apps found on google play on a samsung phone is available at redmi google play too?

mi pad 2 is old, that was from 2015 when xiaomi didnt have much of a global presence

nowdays of course they do have play store, if you buy a global one and not a china import model
