Getting Started

|
I noticed that my MBA M2 battery draining slowly after fully charged to 100% and even when it is still plugged in, the battery status showing: "Chaging on hold (Rarely used on battery). Third party monitoring app also showing the power being drawn from battery instead of "DC in" Is this the normal behavior of "optimized battery charging" algorithm which will slowly drain the battery to a lower level after it is fully charged while still plugging in? On my other dell and other windows laptop, usually it will remain at 100% and cut off the battery power completely and swithc to power adapter only. I have tried contacting Apple support but they sounded quite clueless about it, and other forum like macrumours, not everyone experiencing this as well. Attached thumbnail(s)

It was caused by this setting "optimized battery charging"
