About to pull the trigger on the Daikin inverter aircon (FTKU) 1.5 hp to replace my old Daikin inverter that has served me well for 14 years.

Anyone got any feedback on this model?

Most shops seem to be pushing the standard model (i.e. FTKF) but it is rated 4 stars and I do believe that inverter can save a lot in terms of electricity bills in the long term so don't mind springing a bit extra for the 5 star rated FTKU.

Also, managed to find a shop selling an older model, FTKS35DVM, which uses R410a gas. Unfortunately, not much info on this model. It does look have the same look (and hopefully build quality) as my old Daikin (FTKD35DVM) which I am fond of.

Go for the FTKU. The FTKF 4 star only speaks volumes lol there is subtle differences on the fin size and other components on the IDU ODU..most apparent is shaving off 5kg on ODU vis a vis both 1.5hp models.
