You still need to use cash either way.

1. Top-up (with cash) into your IC card, through the reload station.
2. Use your IC to pay for the LRT Fare.

Alternative:
1. Use cash to buy LRT token.
2. Use Grab.

Don't use your IC as TnG unless you have checked the expiry date of the TnG account in your IC.
Topup money to an expired account does not make it active.

How do we verify the expiry date of TnG in the IC?

Can only verify with the serial number at the back of the ic inside tng website.

Log in tng website. Add card to check balance and the expiration will be shown.

Ask someone there If they can use their cash to buy u token and u transfer to their wallet the amount.

u have to check from the top up receipt
or maybe can ask the counter before u top up

Good to keep a spare card in the wallet for emergency use and have another card in the car only for toll payment.

I always keep some balance in my IC tng. Save me from some hassles a few times.

Can't you reload by debit/credit card at counter?
