The last 2 is relatively unknown to me as they are more a mid tier range.

The first question I always ask is what is your requirements?

XM2+ is an excellent tire in wet braking & wear. (almost perfect for value) but it does come with a high price point.

You can check out the reviews of XM2+ as below

XM2+ review

PS: If you dont mind would you be so kind to fill in the Tire Mileage Review form so that we can get more details about your previous tire?

I was using XM2 2018, not sure if the + is already there. My requirement is daily car, 90km+ /day. Need to have those safety factor of wet and dry braking. I'm not a spirited driver. No sudden brake, just smooth ride. Noise is just secondary, because on highway the wind noise is even louder. Lastly, those tire has to be able to do at least 75k mileage (3 years), while doesn't poke hole into my pocket.

Anyway, I went ahead to try the Falken Ze914, replacing the XM2 (only 2 donut though). Read a few of the review and experience, this seems doable.

The price offered to me is too insane for me not to try. biggrin.gif

How is the ze914? I heard Falken good grip but very noisy.

Can consider Yokohama ES32. Made in Japan yo. Price cheaper than xm2+

Measure to the bottom or the safety indicator?

Just only installed it like few hours. I'll let you know in few months.

As for the noise, I don't find it any different yet compare to XM2.

As for the Yokohama, I'm not really into that brand. I tested it long time ago with my other car. I think the wet performance quite lousy, can feel the aquaplaning even a shallow puddle.

Also my opinion, I rather get tire made in ASEAN, for ASEAN weather and road condition. biggrin.gif

measure to the bottom. The tread wear indicator effectively is a marker for 1.6mm

So normal new thread is what depth?
Is it standard across all brands and sizes?

I think my XM2 left around 4-5mm

its not standard, depending on what you are optimizing. roughly 7-9mm in standard

4-5mm still can use, why did you want to change?

In comparison to the price vs it's value.
Not saying it is not good. It performed well, so does some other brand for normal driver.
So value for money, it is not.
