Kawasaki pull out to gain the factory facility of Modenas. This is the somewhat the same agreement with Proton and Mitsubishi when Proton was first incorporated. Mitsu pull out but gain Proton factory to make their cars but rebadged.

The only syukur part is that for KAwasaki, their bigger bikes are still CBU. Modenas can only do bikes below 650 if not mistaken. But so far, prices has come down a bit even for the CBU under Modenas.

Kawasaki own stakes in modenas plant. Inm this is their strategy to penetrate ASEAN market.

Kawa has always have a stake in Modenas. Recently they increase the stake to gain the use of Modenas Gurun factory. Since they got alot of money into modenas they try and help Modenas to grow. So they give rights for lower cc kawa bike to modenas to sell in Malaysia.
