So much pricier than the last gen UM mad.gif . And upon going through the photos by PT, I noticed the followings "cut-cost" measures :
1. cheap spare wheel, UM got full size spare wheel with alloy rim
2. Driver seats without thigh support extender, only 2 way lambda support. UM has thigh extender and 4 ways lambda support adjuster
3. Interiour light compartment has not no storage for sun-glass
4. No front heat and ventilated seats !! Fxxk !!!
5. At the back from 2 front seats without USB port, unlike the overseas high-spec version. Boss switch is there.
6. No KIA original thick carpet, Bermaz only gives maggie mee carpet

Not so important features => (1) sun-roof (2) rotary gear knob (3) heated 2nd row seats (4) HUD
These few I don't mind

I am driving a 3rd gen Sorento UM, and my colleague recently bought a Santa Fe TM. I swapped my car with his for a test drive, and the following are the observations :

1. Sorento 2.2D is AWD, Santa (premium variant) is 2WD

2. Power/output, Sorento 197HP, Santa 190HP

3. Driving feel wise, actually the Santa drives better than my Sorento. Not sure that is because the Santa is new (less than 2k km ODO) and mine already with 55k km ODO. And the AWD system is taking a tol on the power delivery, it's more draggy from 0-50km/h when AWD is on. On the other hand, the 2WD system in Santa feel livelier, get go with less draggy feel.

4. Santa being half a gen newer than Sorento UM, it feel more upmarket inside the cabin. Outside it looks slightly better too. Sport rim also looks nicer.

5. Sorento UM (the facelift version) has full LED headlamp, but Santa looks like having halogen, it looks awful at night.

6. Fit & finish, Sorento is way better due to SKD (semi knock-down) or near CBU, against that of CKD for Santa. Santa has some squeaky noise here and there.

7. Handling, on town driving, Santa feel a bit better. Sorento feel much more nose heavy, don't know why.
