Try construction companies that have projects in Qatar. Quite a number of Malaysia working for construction sector. But me not in construction line that is the only advice I can give.

Suggest you go to Linkedin and connect with the recruitment for NEOM project in Saudi. I received a very good offer, and due to personal reason have to reject. They are mainly doing construction at the moment, but still early stage. From the looks it, they are massively hiring and need people urgently.

Heard Shell's downstream product making in PD finally closing shop.  This was expected since Singapore is closing as well, next will be their service station.

Expected eventhough in the sort of townhall few months ago, the top management said just an exercise to get the market excited, but remain to stay here in Malaysia for downstream. All just speculation.

Was informed over the weekend that Orsted KL is in the midst of reducing headcount and quite a few have been let go since last month..

They did not secure a few operatorships and also hired too many Engineers in 2023 / 2022.

Term used = Redundancy .

What's the industry veteran take on the MISC-Bumi Armada merger? What's the rationale? Who does it benefit more?

PD Shell refinery sold to Hengyuan in 2016 or so, so left the product plant in PD which will be closed down in 2-3Q 2025. While Shell announced will leave Singapore refinery sometime in 2Q 2024.
