All non Sarawakian Malaysians need to have work permit to work in Sarawak.

But Sarawakians can work anywhere in Peninsula without the need of work permit.

They hired managers, not engineers. These managers can’t do shit without an army of engineers executing the work.

Petr* has become synonymous of delaying to pay its share of finance in collaborative enterprises, the rumours coming out of Pet mgmt who were familiar with dealings with Petr*.

High possibility Pet is trimming down its staff after being forced to handover Sarawak gas business to Petros.

Its upstream projects in that state which were under early development were being frozen and not entering execution phase, from credible sources.

It’s ending soon, and work continues at yard. Worley team will be progressively demobbed starting Nov 24.

Things will slow down in most KL consultant offices till end of the year.

The next big local job will be in early 2025; PTTEP’s LL contracts.

Not confirmed yet. Earnest talks and negotiations are still in progress.

Gas business in Sarawak is turning ugly for business.

One obvious reason is the change of guard of gas business in Sarawak. Many gas development projects in the state are put in the freezer until the gas business in the state is made clear to the interested companies. LL development is in jeopardy of being delayed for a year partly due to this matter, the rumours said.

Saipem’s trying their luck with AKER for their next project. Worley already completed the detailed design for Saipem’s project, the next phase of the project was not handed to Worley.
