How does average doctor of age 35yo and above earn? Easily RM 20k above?

Just want to know doctor earn a lot issit a myth or not

Exclude those specialist that is very famous and/or placed in high class and prestigious private hospital like Sunway/Sime Darby

My doc friend used to earn around RM350/hr back in 2011 at a small private hosp in Ipoh.

quite recently i heard from another doctor friend the rate is still the same however in a private clinic.

15 years exp doctor in Gov hosp around RM8k + some allowances, this was back in 2011. same doctor is now deputy HOD in one of the gov clinics now, not sure how much he earning now. He chose not to specialise so deputy is the highest he can go, no2 to the specialist.

He used to do part time locum at rm350/hr

i been observe clinic in my taman, 5-15 minutes per customer for normal fever or cough, RM50-70, you do the math..

not yet plus those checkup or follow up.

wonder how frequent per month. if just a few hours a month also no point.

Non specialist can become hospital directors. Now KKM don't want specialist to become hospital directors

employed by small clinic about 8k to 9k

self owned clinic , salary is minus rent and staff pay . about the same.
need volume .

anyway , once be doctor , priority is saving life and pain management .

want money , need to be enterprising like trade or business .

want to be rich go do business

I want to study hard and become one

many industry is making rm10k above 30 and making rm20k above 40years old.

but why?

because then will be lack of specialists?

locum night shift RM700/day - 11PM ~ 7AM

10 days work = RM7k
30 days work = RM21k

/k standard easy

many doctors only taking leave like 1 week per year, apart from every sunday rest.

what is the point when you making millions a year when you dont even have time to spend it.

I guess that's why.
