Hi, I am owner of myvi 2022
Currently I have a few problem that I'm unsure of

1. When the car starts to move, the rpm goes high and kinda like stuck for a while, once car reaches speed around 20km/h then it suddenly ``pass'' and goes smoothly afterwards, is it normal ?

2. Same goes to slowing down, when it slows down to around 20km/h it stucks and car kinda nudge forward then it will ''pass'' after a while and come to a stop

3. When I put my gear let's say from D to N or N to D, there's jerking is it normal ?

Thank you all in advance

Please state your "High" RPM how high was it? It stuck for a while because of CVT do not have any gears and will stick at high RPM to get more power in return.

I'm sorry, it wasnt high
When the car starts moving , the rpm will go to near to two, stuck there for a while before eco kicks in and the rpm drops and car moves smoothly
I'm worry about the stuck part, is it normal ? At that phase the revving noise get loud but the car seems reluctant to move until the eco kicks in

Below 2 is totally ok in my opinion especially from a stop. Although I never had any of Perodua's CVT Vehicle but I have driven a few Torque converter based CVT before.

From start usually will rev a little high and then it went down after going beyond 20km/h

The initial higher rev is to get more power at the get go because that's how CVT work, it will use the short ratio to push the car going.

However for point 2 and 3, this would need other owner to clarify, little jerking I think should be fine and expected at stop go speed.

1 is the famous rubber band effect, the other is engine braking which disengage the gearbox when rpm is lowering.

My Altis Cvt has no such jerk from N to d but as long as it is not serious the jerking, i wouldn't worry about it.
Be gentle to the gb and it will serve long, very long.

I also own a 2022 myvi AV version. Just completed my 1K service/inspection.

1. I got no issue on this one. My GB works like a normal AT GB. Except for there is no feel of the GB changing gears.

2. I have this problem too. The car would nudge a bit during slow down. I raised this issue with the SC and they said this is normal due to the CVT GB.

3. I had this issue during the 1st 500KM especially during the morning and it has been improving. Will continue monitoring and high light this issue to the SC.

Seems like the stuck thingy is due to cvt gearbox as answered by friends above, hopefully nothing serious
Initially jerking very obvious, now I'm at 7k km it gets less obvious, wonder should I ask sc
It's my first auto transmission car, initially I thought its normal until I sat in my friend myvi his didn't have this jerking

Oh so the moving and slowing down the stuck feeling is because of cvt? Not any defect? Phew... Was so worried

Toyota dcvt is that, but Daihatsu is opposite > cvt then highest gear.

Yup. Smooth drive and probably save petrol too. But there is no way I can reach 21.1KM/L as claimed. I consistently getting around 20KM/L.

So I just finished servicing
Basically they told me all is normal for cvt
Idk haih...feels like abit suspicious, the service guy even told me push start button have to press three times, with first two without brake to start the engine...while user manual didn't teach so...I'm puzzled

The three times thing, basically first press is like putting the key into ignition. Second press is like turning key to start the car, but not start the engine. Lastly third press with brake in is start the engine.

You step on brake and press the button first time to start the engine is like put key in and immediately start engine. Essentially, waiting a bit before starting the engine will allow the fuel pump to run for a bit.

If you read owner's manual by perodua, it says once only
And I watch a few youtube videos where commentors below said their button spoilt within a year getting their car doing that
