I want to buy a laptop, so just been doing my research for the past two months. I'm not the one who changes laptops frequently and needs to search for the best for my money over a long year. Since CES is next month, I have several questions and need lowyat forumer to help me:

1. How CES event will affect the current gen laptop price? (e.g., let's say Asus announce a new gen laptop at CES, will the current gen laptop price drop, or will it only drop when it arrives in Malaysia? )

2. When the manufacturer announces a new gen laptop at the CES event, how long will it come to Malaysia? (estimate: 1 month, two months?) roughly?

3. Should I buy a current-gen laptop(now since there are year-end sales and Christmas sales and tomorrow's 12.12 sale) or wait until next month for a manufacturer to announce a new one? ( advantages: if the price for current-gen laptop drops??).

I never followed the laptop market, so that I wouldn't know the previous trend for the laptop market prices.

After research: target manufacturers: Asus, Legion and Predator.
