I have changed my Dlink unifi router (dvg f2452) to the tp link Ax1500 router modem and have two deco e4 units which was in AP mode previously on the Dlink. So the deco e4 is connected by wire to the tp link ax1500 modem router. Whenever I try to setup the deco, it will fail halfway after putting the new network name and the password. It does not want to remember the network name and password. While I can connect to it wirelessly, I do not get Internet. Any ideas?

I need to extend the WiFi coverage slightly further away than what the Dlink and ax1500 can do.

Thanks

deco is 1 of the most easiest setup mesh by using their app.

1st question :

Exclude all the deco, did you able to connect internet with your Ax1500?

2nd question :

Exclude 2nd deco, is the 1st Deco Online?

I can't even setup my first Deco. Failed. Followed all the steps in the app. Reset all Deco's. The only thing different is that I attached it directly to the router in AP mode and app settings are in router mode. Will try again just connecting it directly with the modem just to set it up. The new updated app has settings only for router function without AP mode.

The problem is, it can detect internet, after putting new SSID and pw, it fails to make the name "stick" on the Deco. From blue pulse light to red light. It manages to rename it temporarily before failing. Then it goes back to "Deco_(numbers)" SSID.
