 PAL to NTSC Converter for Astro

Hello to Everyone, I would like to know where in KL I can purchase a PAL to NTSC Converter for Astro which has:

1. RCA in -> RCA out, S-Video in -> SVideo out, Antenna in -> Antenna out

or

2. RCA in -> RCA out

please help, you can also P.M me the info, thank you.

too technical for me to understand. However why want to convert to NTSC?

If your TV is a NTSC tv, just get the RCA and S-video in and RCA and S-video out.

RCA = Red, yellow and white plugs (red and white = audio, yellow = video)

I've got the same problem - NTSC TV, so my picture from ASTRO is black and white. I need a PAL to NTSC Converter. Any suggestions on where to get one in Malaysia????

There's been some discussion below about ntsc vs pal by some ppl who brought back their tv to india from usa. I think the converter that the ppl suggested can still be used here tho.

IMO, it's near impossible to get the converter (Com world CMD-1200) in malaysia. u have to buy it online and the price is quite expensive for the small device. and i am not sure whether the thing will work 100%.

Just go to Electronics shop and ask them for that. Its easy. I have same problem too before this.

hmm.... my Panasonic TV has built-in switcher I guess... so I didn't get such problem at all.

why must buy that converter???
why not just set the 'tv system' to 'AUTO'... so can detect PAL or NTSC automatically...

if u r in butterworth go to jalan kampung benggali. u'll find a lot of electronics thing there. but u can find those S video cable n everything related to it at a electric shop that sell wire, tv, radio, hi fi n bla.. bla.. bla..
