Hi guys, I am planning to get MSI Prestige 15 for doing my 3D modeling and design job. Is this laptop capable of doing 3D? Or what accessories should I upgrade? How much ram do u recommended? Thanks.

Is this laptop CPU upgradable too? Let's say from i5 to i7

I see the specs have this gpu. NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 With Max-Q Design, 4GB GDDR6

Quite a low end gpu.

If u have budget, get the best CPU that laptop allows. No u are not able to upgrade the cpu later on. i7 please.

Get at 32Gb ram. If don't have that config, 16Gb ram is the minimum u must have.

Basically 3D modeling will require CPU, gpu and ram. So max out according to your budget.

If you are serious, why bother with a laptop? Just go for a proper desktop.

proper desktop + parsec + any laptop.

= Power + Power with mobility.

wat ur budget? thin laptop n bad cooling system for work... u got too much budget izzit? get a proper mobile workstation if u got budget

Those are dead. Nowadays you can only upgrade the RAM, storage & WiFi cards inside a laptop

Nowadays the only laptops with upgradable CPUs are those that will cost you 5 digits and they are neither thin nor lightweight. They are called portable workstations

Also based on your requirements, the MSI Prestige 15 is not gonna cut it. You need a laptop with very good cooling and again, they are neither thin nor lightweight
