Just gotten operation and discharged fortunately. No much complications during surgery However, upon reaching home with my files taken. I found blood test inside and have a look. Can you guys justify this glucose reading? I’m not expert not really how to judge it tho As long it’s within the bracket, I’ assume it’s fine?

QUOTE(Bafflinbook @ Nov 29 2022, 03:42 PM) It seems like the HB1ac test, which doesn't require fasting and is more reliable/accurate than the finger-prick test. QUOTE(Zot @ Nov 29 2022, 03:42 PM) And more expensive test too. Thank you very much. Actually not sure what test they did. Just knew when I admitted , they drew my blood and urine sample for test. Never hear from them anymore until I was discharged today

QUOTE(HJoker @ Dec 4 2022, 01:13 AM) hi im a dr ur blood sugar level is perfectly fine if u are a non diabetic, generally for random blood glucose our aim is < 7.8 mmol/L, if fasted < 5.6 mmol/L As someone have mentioned above, hba1c is a better indicator of ur control of blood sugar as it reflects ur blood sugar level over the past 3 months as opposed the one that u took, which is just a one time reading. however do note that certain medications can affects ur sugar level. Thank you sir So mine is HBA1C reading? Appreciate
