recently noticed stiffness when shifting Gear from P > R especially when just startup engine is cold.

even parked on flat surface, usually feel the stiffness only when parked on steep ground/hill. before this, no problem at all on flat surface

now whenever leaving the car, will have to engage hardbrake first, then only shift to P. so when startup car again no more stiffness when from P > R which i believe because car weight isnt rest on parking pawl

is it something wrong with the GB already ? coz unlike before.

8 yo maibi , nothing to do with atf for sure, just changed & at right level.

How you park your car?

Correct way, brake, pull hand brake than only shift to P.

Besides that, did you change your engine mountings or gear level bush before? If no, mostly starting to wear already.

to prove whether its gear lever bush issue, you could try to see if your gear is loose like moving it up or down if there is free play, normally it should be still at the gear you are at and not feel loose.

then probably you could do like what ktek said.
If u DIY, probably cost u below rm10 as the bush is quite cheap je but u need to know how to dismantle the center console kot so might lose a few pins here and there if u r not careful

Yeah, wouldn't be too hard to do it
If want last longer, might as well opt for silicone
