Hello everyone,

Can someone suggest me affordable and reliable forwarder service for such?

Basically I would like to purchase an electronic item which is only sold in China market. I could not find any similar item from Shopee or Lazada but only Taobao.

I also have limited skills in the language, so I got a colleague to help me to buy stuff from Taobao. But there's also google translate if you can't be bothered to ask your friends.

Plenty of freight forwarder out there, be it air or sea freight.

My friend own this company, the rate is not the cheapest but it's pretty reliable.

When you checkout in taobao, don't key in Malaysia address, the freight forwarder will give you an address in china which is basically their warehouse to receive the parcel on your behalf and forward it to MY.

you can check: myposman.com

It might be a little confusing for start but you can whatsapp their CS, they'll send you the instructions. Once you get used to it, you can place the order pretty quickly.

I don’t even understand chinese at all also can buy from 1688 and pinduoduo. Heck can even asked seller to customize items using wechat. For forwarder, I used mywau as the can help me pay both alipay and wechat pay. Me no passport to verify my alipay.

Hey guys, thanks for all the helpful replies.

I managed to find similar item from different stores in Taobao who ships to overseas after some searching.

I was initially looking for forwarder service as the seller only ships within China.

Some of you were asking about the item. It is actually "Huawei Matebook E Go 2022 Performance" . Our local store does not really has the variant available.

The only pending thing for now is for me to determine any "hidden charges" especially on the custom side. If not mistaken, imported item with wifi adapter normally would be inspected and taxed. đź«

Will also be required to get approval/permit from MCMC, SIRIM or EC (energy commission, to make sure it can be used here with our voltage and frequency) if customs demanded to see those. I had some experience where customs did ask for the permits/letters from different agencies. I bought some custom steel frames for a mid-size outdoor project and customs office wanted to see my CIDB permit lol.

In your case, I’d recommend emailing the relevant agencies and tell them you are getting a laptop from overseas. You’ll get a faster reply if you go to their offices personally tongue.gif

Also, depending on your luck the customs office would just skip this entirely (maybe if your forwarder wrongly “declared” the HS code) but bear in mind customs also can open up your packages to see what you are bringing in are correctly declared

Yea, my concern is now on the custom clearance mainly. Anyway, some other forumers has suggested some sites so I'm exploring it and looking forward for reasonable quote :-)

What's the customs tax % be like?

For example, if you pay RM 2000 for Taobao, the custom in Malaysia will tax RM 200 which is 10%?
