Plenty options out there - lecturer (as you mentioned edu field), management consultant (entry barriers somehow higher), finance related (banks, IB, financial advisory), risk advisory (internal control related), HR, procurement, startups and a lot more.

Any reasons you claim you are not good in marketing? Prior experience or because of results achieved for marketing subject?

IMO, one cannot decide a career for you, you need to identify what do you like to do or what would you like to try out next as well as the reasons behind causing you to have the idea of leaving the job.

Are you currently in mid-tier / big four? Are the overburden issues due to lack of staff (firm issue), poor allocation of tasks (manager issue), or your own efficiency and capabilities (your issue)? If it's the former, would going to another firm solves the issues? If the latter, perhaps you should reflect and see if you could make improvements (time allocation, reduce distractions, more discussions with managers etc).

Hope my 2 cents could slightly help.

I tired marketing like promoting certain product and tng code to client, i had bad experience since these are only earn when u are able to sell.

Not even in mid tier / big 4 , i am in small company , the overburden issue are miscommunication and keep doing simple mistake as well my efficiency and capabilities , also the lack of staff contributed to the cause since high turnover employee expected every year and rigorous key in very detail stuff take a toll of my mental and a lot job beside audit too.

i will consider the option u mention . Thanks

Just a thought from me:

1. If you are not learning anything new, leave and find a better job.
2. Continuous learning is the mindset here.
3. What things you like to do when you are free? Find a job in that area. Sure got.
4. Build up your skills, experience and knowledge. The money will come after that.

Its the nature of work. Audit has always been deemed as having "long work hours" especially due to its labour-tedious nature of needing to go through various documents, paperwork, checking etc. Think of your other options within the industry if you're not into Audit.

FYI, what you just mentioned "promoting certain product and tng code to client" is SALES , not Marketing. The term "marketing" is overly abused by recruiters and companies that do not understand what exactly is marketing. Either that or, they use it to lure potential candidates because otherwise there would be little people who'd be interested to apply. However this kind of misleading, misconception and abuse use of term had given "marketing" a bad name and wrong perception. The whole idea of being a marketer is a lot more holistic and bigger than what you thought.

So what do Marketers really do? This is just part of what's there: https://growfusely.com/blog/resources/marke...g-basics-guide/
