Iinm last time we parking at border there only need passport and rm2 to go thru.. then use cab to hotel. Can't remember restaurant name but their tom yum gong really out of this world even nice than we try at BKK wan.. another one is otak2 babi. A bit pricier but really nice.. Along the way we stop by Penang and Kedah (not much to explore) for food hunting.. that was a decade ago..
