Shopping around for a point-and-shoot camera. Saw this at Foto Shangrila over at OneU last saturday and is priced at RM1,750 with a 2Gb XD card. It's well built with a nice feel all around. Never used an Olympus before and wondering if any members here had any experience with this model or the older Olympus SP-550 UZ. Read some negative reviews about images taken with the previous model lacks sharpness. I understand point-and-shoot cameras are for casual shots and most suitable for travel photography, but wondering if this camera will do a reasonably good job indoors. Any advice? Thank you.

Indoors? Hrm seems tough as the only reliance is via the built-in flash. There isn't a hotshoe support for external flashes so if you want to shoot indoor shots, be prepared for either blurry pictures, or you can use a tripod or use the flash.

Hey Mavik, thanks for your comments. For a point and shoot camera. Which of the following would you recommend?

01. Olympus SP-560 UZ
02. Canon Powershot G9
03. Lumix LX2 (though old but still appealing)

Hi. I haven't had the chance to play around with G9 as it's still not available at the few shops I went to.
I've heard good reviews for G7, am sure will check this out as well before I make my purchase.
Thanks.
