Plan to do laundry along the way?

This also need to open tred? Not that you will kena pancung if overpack or underpack, just go with anything you have and learn from it next time la.

It's your own experience.

I did both before:
Bring money, minimal clothing, local trip. Rain gear more important.
Overpack, less hassle, but load and unload, and bike is heavier, not fun to ride.

Even neighbor country trips, got many dobi bars with dryers. Or, hotel with dobi, spend time save money.

If you berani, 2 sets of clothing to rotate also can.
Is up to you.

I tend to over pack, scared I laosai and soiled my panties then no panties to wear

I am planning to pack up to 5 nights and anything more will be trip to local laundry shop.

My 10 years' experience in cycling tour has taught me in travelling light. Wet socks soften and weaken the skin, making feet vulnerable to blisters.

I will pull out my shoe bag (5" x 9" x13") from my motorcycle Uglybros seat bag which contains

Jeans x1
Underwear x 3
Socks x 2
T shirt x 3
Short pants x 2

One 72 yrs old cyclist in our group just brought 1 pair of underwear. Saw him walking around in his hotel room in his underwear only. He cycled with his wet jersey and shorts.

Depends..you okay wearing underwear today.. then flip it inside out and wear tmr?

You travel to cities.. got laundromat, 1 set on you 1 set spare enough la.
You travel adv to middle of no where… got river with muddy water and leeches later suck your kkj.. ask yourself kkj more important or packing extra more important

If you tend to overpack, means, u oredi got experience, so, if want to cut down, then u cut down. It's not like going some jungle.

There are more important things: Cash, insurance, phone line, spare bike key, and emergency supplies. Clothing is not very high in my regards. Unless attending a formal occasion is part of the plan.

Urgh.. I dropped my keyfob in one of my outing, 250km away from home.

Lesson learnt.. lucky bike allow me to start without using keyfob.

I'd suggest no name calling, or personal attacks. A comment that says your tered is like /k is not an insult or anything... just perhaps less technical and more chatty, the campur-aduk kind.

Most of us also never met in person yet, so, messing up a forum tered might just drag your rep downhill. Most of the time, a 'haha' will do, and move on. Stepping down on each other doesn't really bring up anyone as a winner. No trophies.

There is no right or wrong way to pack.

Depends on what you want or feel comfortable or what sort of trip you are doing. Unless you are really out in the boonies, you can always find some place to launder your clothes.

I pack on the lighter side of things. Clothing is often the least of my worries on packing. for a 5d4n trip, Other than my riding gear and rain gear, I jusually just pack the following;

1) 1 pair lightweight cargo pants,
2) 2 extra t shirts
3) 3 pairs underwear and 2 pairs socks
4) 1 pair shorts

All my stuff is quickdry, so it is very easy to just give it a wash and it will dry quickly.

Thats about it. All in its own compression dry bag,and would only take up half the space in the pannier.

What takes up more room, heavier and takes more effort to pack are tools, tyre repair kit and pump, spares (shift lever, brake levers, throttle and clutch cables, fuel hose, various nuts and bolts, heavy duty zip ties) med kit, and various fluids for the bike. I also bring along a pack of wet wipes and clean cloth to clean the helmet visor.

I like a more spirited ride if on roads, so I tend to want to keep weight low. Likewise, if the trip has off road sections, where you dont want to manhandle a pack mule on.

can give more details on this? i know there are compression bags (like the zip lock kinda bag) and dry bags... but not compression dry bags

Its just a normal roll top dry bag with a valve to let air out. Then i use my own straps to tighten it up.

They do sell compression dry bags, but they are hard to find here, not to mention expensive. Cheapfag like me just jerry rig something similar

last time Daiso also sell those compression bags, for pillows, comforter, winter clothing and those fluffy stuff

the idea is similar, roll the clothes in airtight bags, and close the air inlets.
some call it vacuum bag for garments

use disposable underwear. trust me

Lol, yes, and that too. Can buy at 7-11 and any pharmacy.

Fine for the ladies but men might need extra support....Hahaha.. easiest is to go commando...but depends on what riding pants you use, you might not want to do that...chaffing can be a real issue, especially on a long ride. Dont ask me how I know.
