Finally watched 18, a bit disappointed to see the fight Graham against Eins so fast ended. I expected a longer fight or something pfft.

Ending part was very interesting, especially when Exia vs 3 of them!! Wonder if the other 3 will come and aid or not?    Since meisters are never alone 

Will Saji becomes to next Gundam Meister from all the vent up anger? Will he like steal a unit of Trinity and trash everyone?

I not sure if u all feel things has changed dramatically in gundam 00 for saiji and louise. For once alot of viewers were touched by Louise tragic lost of almost everything and finally it make sense of having scenes of Louise and Saiji (although annoying and pointless initially) as their perspective as civilians caught inside this conflict.

The scene where saiji meets louise in the hospital almost dropped a tear in my eye. Yeah it is 2308 and she could easily get a prosthetic left hand but the whole impact during that scene is tremendous. Ops for my softie heart

Indeed ep18 has a num of memorable moments which includes Graham finally pwns Johann, even though it was just a short scene, still its well crafted and coordinated fight scenes rather than showing faces of pilots showing emo faces while attacking....... Go Graham!

Finally, i think i can declare this is the best 00 episode so far! n DEATH TO NEENA!!!!!

Still pretty early to say whether 00 will end up like Wing or not.

From what I've read, 00 still doesn't have a main plot except the constant attempts by the 3 factions to capture and defeat the Gundams, which of course are doomed to fail because of Gundam-pwn-all circumstances. We have no idea who the Gundams are fighting for (yes, they're on the CB's side but who exactly is CB?); and the idea of ending wars with violence is a bit dumb as they are creating more wars. In fact, this time round the Gundams seem to be on the evil side. I'm still not used to seeing Gundams acting like the devil's pawns.

If anything, the CBs seem more like GSD's LOGOS who aspire to create wars so that they can churn out more weapons (and more Gunpla for Bandai).

Character wise, tsk tsk tsk... who's the main protagonist? Setsuna doesn't seem like one, nor does Lockon. Allelujah and Tiera are simply crackheads who go AAARRRRGGGHHHHH in battle and appear to be more evil than other pilots. Same case with the Trinity trio.

If 00 is going to follow Wing, season 2 might be the one where the Gundam pilots realise CB's evil intentions, and end up rebelling against them hence fighting the Trinity Trio. That's my guess.

I remember one episode Tiera saying something about the amount of warfare reducing like 30+% since their appearance?

and I don't think we need to wait till season 2...Exia is already starting to fight against the Throne Gundams. I think CB will follow soon...

In Seed we saw ZAFT reverse engineer the GAT-Xs and eventually churn out their own ZGMFs.
In Wing we saw Trieze and Romfellor churn out Epyon.

I seriously don't see why Bandai wouldn't want to give the earth factions gundams to sell gunpla and toys, although I'd like to see more monoeyes.

Penelope and Xi look overdramatically designed for me... don't like extravagant stuff hehe... And Xi in F90/91? I didn't see any in F90 manga, nor in the RF91 Silhouette. There's definitely no signs of it in F91 movie anyway.

The recent AoZ designs are even worse, especially stuff like the Rick Diaz Stutzer, Woundwort, and other addons/MAs. It's hard to believe that AoZ era has so many powerful stuff when Zeta's mecha seems less owning.

If they can built mobile suit, why can they built cybernetic or grow new limbs?..

I think the GN Drive given to the 3 nation is the similar one installed on Thrones, or maybe the more weaker version (who knows). The Thrones GN Drive didnt take 100 years to develop, coz the group who went to check the Jupiter colony do it around 80 years b4 the present year (the Jupiter mission started 120 years before) and the time required for them to go back to Earth is 6 years(or 8 years;I didnt remember+lazy to check). I think the 40 years are used to develop the TD Blanket on the original GN Drive(TD=topological defect;makes the original GN Drive can only be built in high gravitational area like Jupiter).After TD Blanket is complete, they abandoned the Jupiter base. The rest of the parts that didn't required to be made in Jupiter area maybe were built on Earth or CB secret base around the Earth space
The Thrones are connected to Veda. In ep18, Sumeragi did comment on how Nena action is not listed in mission outline given by Veda to the Thrones. Plus, Johann Trinity knew Lockon and Setsuna real name and their past, most probably from Veda, which requires their Gundam to be connected to Veda to obtain such info

There seems to huge similarities btw G00 and the classic Orwell novel "1984".

1984 had 3 major powers -> Eurasia, Eastasia and Oceania
G00 has 3 major powers -> Union, AEU, HRL
In both cases they share almost the same geographical areas of influence.

"Eradication of war" feels like the reverse concept of "War is Peace" in 1984. There is relative peace among the nations in 1984 because they're always at war in the disputed areas just like in G00 (the whole balance of power, zero-sum game/MAD theory); with CB eradicating war the whole world becomes less peaceful.

So Schenberg is not really interested in eradicating war but he's onto something totally different (total domination over humanity ala 1984?).

No doubt that I like UC especially the complexity of the storyline and characters, but most of the time the endings aren't really my cup of tea as they feel rushed. This is not limited to Tomino's works as most animes that I've watched before have endings which don't satisfy me.

Actually in "1984" the three major powers of Eurasia, Eastasia and Oceania are in a state of equilibrium (the whole zero-sum/MAD thing) and because of this balance caused by perpetual war there is perpetual peace ("War is Peace"). What Schenberg has done is upset this balance btw the Union, AEU, HRL - sparking new conflict; which is why the Union professor keeps saying that CB are seeking a path of destruction.
