QUOTE(cannavaro @ Oct 10 2007, 08:07 PM) Refer to your modem manual (you'll find the DMZ tab in your modems settings page), practically it opens up all ports. If you DMZ your pc ip you're more likely to say hello to hackers. some router lets you set open DMC to a certain IP~ so my Xbox 360 is open DMC... Maybe sooner or later Hackers starts to hack on each xbox360

QUOTE(hikaru_x @ Oct 11 2007, 03:24 AM) djinn, how bout ur place? u hv multiple 360s behind a single router... so only 1 box has "Open NAT"? does enabling uPNP on the router allow more than 1 box to have "Open NAT" ? nope, to enable all four xbox 360 or more.. I just make the main ip (which is known as 192.168.1.1) as open nat~ so all xbox 360 is running on open nat. UPNP also can be done, but you have you key in the ip from your xbox 360 la~ some modem doesn't allow multiply "Open NAT" and I have no idea why they want to do that.

QUOTE(refnulf @ Oct 11 2007, 07:50 AM) I use an adsl gateway (modem+router) connected to my pc and to the xbox separately. Both pc and xbox have static ip and ports forwarded for whatever. If you forward your ports properly, you'll have open NAT. I have no problems playing games with gamers from Japan, Indonesia, HK, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia or even US. Of course, to do this gotta stop all connections on the pc. Halo 3 seems to work great with gamers from anywhere. GoW though, is a little picky. Some games are lagged to hell with users from US,etc. well at least halo 3 you can still look for "good connection" features turn on if you want to look a good match.. I'm hoping epic will do these in thier gears of war 2 thier rank match system is freaking lousy
