 Dot matrix printer issue, printing problem

What would be the cause for dot matrix printer to print random character? this is can be happen at random time hmm.gif
how do you guys fix it? my printer model is Panasonic KX-P1131E. thanks in advance

uninstall and install the driver. remember to restart on both.
If its still the same its the printer mainboard. No you can't DIY or change the mainboard. Either send to shop for repair or buy new.

yes try update driver and also try another computer too.

usually its due to font/language/keyboard difference

Restart the affected computer usually fixed mine. Reattached cable too if you are using parallel.

I think so too.. because it's usually working just fine but there will be a day when this issue will occur

Your printer connected to a switch like device instead of PC? Is your print server in good condition? Mine had a bad capacitor before and my colleague went out to buy a replacement which dont work that well. In the end, I opened up the print server and replace the bad capacitor. It has not had a problem until now. We have been using it for more than 15 years.

Panasonic no longer has any support at all. Drivers only 3rd party sites.
