Notice this a few time when using PLUS highway.

Why they always do the rolling road block so often?

The rolling road block is usually deployed to help slow down the traffic to facilitate lane closure.

And why TF close highway during day time? Can't they do it during night time when there is less traffic.

Not only this inconvenienced the highway user, who btw paid tolls to use it, now it is proven to cause accident.

Video below. You can see the rolling road block (4 lorries) at 0:18.

the highway is not dangerous

malaysian drivers are.

Agree with this as well. Hence the rolling road block will exacerbate the risk.

All because they want to close down highway lane during busy hours.

PLUS should give discount if they want to inconvenienced user during peak hours.

Malaysia toll operator really retard i gotta say. Cut grass block one road can easily cost half hour jam. When jam u tot gt big accident ka or what not last last block for cut grass or just to collect cone.

They should move all the maintenance work or any construction work to midnight after 1am.

Sometimes soo infuriating to face unnecessary jam when highway is closed on Friday night heavy traffic time just to do some work.

We can't stop idiots being idiots, so PLUS should know better than deploying rolling road block during peak hours.

ya, make it max speed only 60kmh

btw, do you know the rolling car only driving like 30~40km/h, small car can stop in time lah, but not for trailer without any notice
*
It causes rapid slowdown in traffic especially during peak period, and chances there are some vehicles that cannot stop in time. That's why its dangerous to do so, yet PLUS seems to be doing this very often. I myself caught in such unnecessary slow down too many times. It's disruptive and there is no compensation to highway user when they do so.

I kena one those rolling road blocks, middle lane from 100km/h to a complete stop. Some of those on the right lanes braked until tyre smoke keluar.  Wonder, how heavy trunks at 80km/h, can stop on time. confused.gif

Those rolling road blocks are a nuisance, and now proven to be dangerous. Its no difference than a normal road block.

Not only dangerous, also a damn inconvenience!!

Same goes to me
Agree with you

My spouse grandma was killed by a speedster who treated the public road like a race track.  This is why I hate YSKong type of car reviewers.

See his drive/speed up genting... can sometimes be quite dangerous. While he may be an experienced racer, it is still a public road.

Thats what  they did.  And most drivers obedient enough to heed and slow down. Sadly...all it takes is just ONE who doesn't ... and driving a heavy vehicle somemore.
*
It's still a highway, where people is expected to drive fast. And rolling road block is actually very slow, and their visibility is not always the greatest. Many time you only notice them when its too late and you need to brake hard to slow down enough to match speed.

Edit: That is for normal drivers, imagine a runaway truck or some idiot drivers.

Basically its the mindset (brain) behind the steerings, be it truck or cars and even riders.

Highway maintenance methods, scheduling etc is also arguable. The brains behind it too

The true failure is education to begin with.

Apart from dangerous, the maintenance work always done in timing that will inconvenienced road users despite them paying tolls.

Should make a rule if PLUS decided to cause traffic jam, they are liable to pay for the delay caused by their incompetence planning.
