My bf has been hand feeding him since day 1, Ive done it a few times too, just offer him a kibble or some apple

I actually read its not good to hand feed them often as they may come to associate your hands with food and this may develop into a finger nibbling habit  i think just handling them will be enough to bond, perhaps if you want to offer a treat its best to just put it down in front of them?

so far hes never bitten either of us, in fact the only thing he bites other than his food is when we wear a certain type of t shirt. He likes to bite and pull on it to make it streeeeeeeetch

Indonesia got.... you just have to know where to look for.... normally the underground pet trade.... gliders and hedgehogs go for like RM50 only.... but if you do not know anyone who can guide you to the pet trading area, then you won't be able to find lah.

Last time i also don't know, always change water when bath, after that i tell him ( sure he don't know what i say ),  just poo and pee here before you go bath , then i wash his cage and waiting his poo poo ....

Last time my Bo Chai also like that, don't know play the wheel, then i take him up there and block him going down, after that i spin the wheel slowly let him walk, after that midnight he can play it himself.

But you also need to check, is it your hedgehog easy to climb up to the wheel? I think young hedgehog is hard to climb up to the 12" wheel because of the stand is high abit.

hi everyone,

i just got a hedgie with my bf (yet to name him yet) but the day we got him from one of the sellers here, it clicked. we took it home and left it alone for a day... the next day, we fed it cricket and small worms... he loved it but sometimes, he's still kinda aggresive. for now, we don't dare to carry him or even do anything with him yet. we gave him our clothes and he did self anointing after that. is it common for him to nibble on the clothe? and does it hurt if we let him nibble us? how do we go about from here?

btw, he's super handsome and cute. just kinda insecure now... >.<

was it a sniffling noise? i think snuffling/sniffling is "grumbling hedgehog language" mine seems to do it when i wake him up too early or steal his wheel/igloo

i heard that hedgies will actually attempt hibernation if the temperature is too cold.. i've read many warnings regarding it also... try not to put him into an air con room.. not safe.. hedgies aren't suppose to hibernate... they prefer warm temperature...

erm.. it's big / huge... don't think it'll rub against spikey's back.. but am afraid that it'll fall out and get stuck due to his own clumsiness.. =.=" he is super clumsy.. so, RM 21.90... should we buy or should we not? the pink one looks ok compared to the white one.. but! spikey is a male! oh gosh, it'll look ugly in his housey... white toyogo box, blue container for drink and poo poo and brown food container... now pink wheel??!! @_@ goodness... >.<

nah its not really painful, just a nip.. the worst bite would leave u with a faint bite marks only... i have never heard of hedgie bites which draws blood as for now..

The same cant be said for their quills though.. LOL

For me I get my Bo Chai around rm300 and then the staff intro me to use those turtle plastic cage ...... and waste alot $$ for those useless item, after stick on here then change alot thing that can easy find.
