it is said that insects such as mealworms contains too much fats in it that feeding it to the hedgie too often will cause overweights which is bad for health.

Hedgehog as pets generally uses less energy as those in the wild and thus require less of these insects as part of the diet. And the insects we feed have little variation as well, generally only mealworm and cricks, so they might not have all the nutrition they(hedgehog) require. Therefore, feeding holistic cat food is more appropriate.

hmm, i m using one and dun see a problem with it. as a matter of fact, i prefer it heavy, so that the hedgie wont tumble it down easily while running on them.

nah its not really painful, just a nip.. the worst bite would leave u with a faint bite marks only... i have never heard of hedgie bites which draws blood as for now..

The same cant be said for their quills though.. biggrin.gif LOL

just be careful of overdosage.. coz these frontline have alcohol contents and may result in anesthetic effect.
