few weeks ago a male champagne/cinnamon just arrived at his new home

^nikki : how long had he stay wif u? and what food do u feed him? I mean brand.... my boy eats a lot after I bring him back home... sometimes.. i think I feed him too much while he still hoglet... haha

Now I know why Lil Oakey dun feel like eating...
because~~~~~ RC Kitten kibbles is to hard for him to chew/bite/eat? xD
anyway.... most of us here.. fed our baby RC Babycat when we first brought back our hoglet..
the reason we choose babycat is because the kibbles is smaller and hoglet can easily chew/eat the kibbles as their mouth still small and those babyc at kibbles is easier to chew than RC Kitten..

I fed my boy babycat till now.. because he likes it more than Kitten kibbles..
Last time I tried to mix Kitten wif babycat to slowly changed it to kitten as it's more cheaper than babycat xD
but.. the result came out.... He tend to throw out the food rather than eat it.. eat also will choose those babycat kibbles and the kittten kibbles spread around the cage... and if i put all kitten kibbles... He did the same as ur Oakey did.. only take some kibbles then left it till i changed to a new one... but if i fed him babycat.. I can fed wif 2 times a day without throwing his last meal to the bin!!!

@nikki : since u already bought the kitten kibbles no need to waste money to buy another babycat.. waste money.. hehe u can keep feeding him but u have to crush the kibbles 1st... when the kibbles finish.. then u can change to babycat.. but make sure one thing... dun finish off all the kitten kibbles.. if u realize its gonna finish.. u go buy one babycat and mix it wif the kitten kibbles that u had crushed. if u changed the food directly he may not wan to eat it.. so mix bit by bit till the kitten kibbles finish then u just stick wif babycat.. ehe

bonai : why u so wan the wheel? got a lot at petshop rite?

I stayed at subang... u stay at sunway... bonai always became guard at Petshack,sunway xD we should go TT ourself on weekdays... while on weekends... u should call up Cim to meet up lol

actually hedgie is the most easy pet to maintain... I mean they diff from dogs n cats which wan us play wif them and manja2 plus take them out for a walk.. hedgie doesnt ask more other than a nice clean cage wif toys, food n drink plus hide out... if u can give them those stuff they will play, sleep n eat happily... because they're solitary.. but of course you have to give some of ur time to play wif them to let them know there's someone who loves them..,

last word... i think it depends on urself.... if u really interested wif them and wan to take ur time to do research n all it should not be a problem to bring one durian back to ur home... the important thing is commitment... same like dogs n cat...

I had tried both water bottle and bowl... both got their advantage n disadvantage xD

if using bowl.... it's good for them as they can easily drink the water as they eat.. but in my experience... Ken tend to made the bowl full wif bedding -.-" which means I have to control and have to change the water few times a day.. if not that stupid fella wont have to drink till i change the water lol

if using water bottle.... easier.. just fill in water and hang on the side of the cage.. let them drink themself.. clean and no need to change the water few times a day but they have to bend their neck to drink the water... and.. at midnite.. the sound when he drink from the water bottle really annoyed me -.-"

I choose water bottle cuz I went out early morning and back at evening... if use bowl.. when my stupid boy filled the bowl wif bedding.. he will stay thirsty till I'm back.. xD

hedgie is easy to maintain.. but it's still the same wif other animal... dogs or cat u also need to bond what...

my ken became grumpy now... T___T
last time, every time I put my hand into the cage, he will run over to my house.. and I'm soooooooooooo happy when I look at him at that moment...
but but but after I left him to be care by my housemate cuz I have to go back hometown for 3 weeks.. it all began to change....
when I came back... he became as FAT as PIG -.-" and he started to show his grumpy side and really dun let me touch him... ended up I have to bond wif him again and it takes 1 weeks to let him know me back... but still.. he's not as tame as last time.. T_____T
cuz even now.. he still have that grumpy side and everytime i put my hand into the cage he will hiss n hiss only.. dun wan to come near me...

so every time I wan to play wif him i have to put my hand just in front of his face and slowly take him put... hikx

like what babymoli said earlier.. if u just bring him back... leave him for at least 2 day to adapt wif the new smell.. as for cloth... u should put it just after u bring him back home... to let him know ur smell...

I used my old cloth for my boy... means i no more wear the cloth... haha

anyone use wood shaving for ur hedgie? planning to sell off mine.. got 2 packs.. 1 new another one used once oni... currently using breeder celect...
at first wanna try only.. but after i used breeder celect seems like my boy know the usage of litter box xD so i'm planning to sell of the wood shaving..
so wasted if i just put like that... i bought from lyn member before and the smell is nice =]
