Dear all,
As per above. Will contact my developer on Monday.
Just wondering what the reasons might be and prepare myself to counter the developer BS.
Any prior experience and advice is appreciated.

is the number stated in S&P from the location map and floor plan or is stated in an address form ?
sometimes the number stated on location map when u book the property is not same as ur house number , example if it is 18, it is used for reference only , the address number may be 44 , u hav to ask the developer b4 u book it.
if the house number u got the keys is different from the address stated in S&P , probably u got the wrong key ?

Is the address used in description of the property stated in the SPA as in..."property bearing address xx, Jln YY, taman ZZ" ? If it isn't the No referred to may well just be a lot/parcel number used in reference to identify the premise on the attached plan in the SPA. Actual addresses are given by the local council when the bldg is issued with CFO.
if you've bought a house which was under construction, the address couldn't have been given by the local council.

Correct. If the property is still under construction, the [i]actual addresses are given by the local council when the bldg is issued with CFO[i] (as said by ??!!).

My S&P only stated the lot number ie Lot 65. So I guess that the lot number does not equal to the house number? The house number is determined by Local Council so there is nothing I can do if I don't like the number? Damn I thought it will be the same that's why I choosed that particular house.

Can make some intelligent guess. Look at the overall site layout plan.See what the traffic will flow as one gets into the precinct. That's usually where the local council will start numbering the houses/shops.if there's no existing completed premise along that street, (which usually is the case) then it goes odd numbers on one side of the road and even numbers on the other side.
I never consider buying House no 2 , next to the corner, 50% chance of it bearing add No 4. further, the corner lot owner has high tendency to renovate house in such extensive manner that makes the house next door look like mickey mouse.

I did but they said in cantonese "65 hou" so when the S&P time also written lot 65, I did not give it much second thought. Only during the house visit yesterday that I saw the house number is not the same Anyway it is not some number that I dislike and also does not contain 4
