Hi ktards. Imma need to attend an Indian wedding in about 2 weeks but i had no idea what is the correct attire to wear. I searched online found kurta and sherwani, but i am not sure which would be more appropriate/look nice. Plan to buy just 1 set to attend more events in the future.

Just to clarify. Its a south indian wedding, whereby the couple requestes guest to attend in indian wear. So thats why im sorta stuck with choices. In understand indian wedding can sometimes is very elaborate, i dont want to under dress or over dress. Totally no idea wear is middle ground.

Note: waifu will get a saree.

I’m Indian, can wear normal pants & shirt. That’s what I also wear when I attend weddings, been a very long time since I wore traditional clothes.

At most, i wear full formal minus the tie & blazer
