I'm not sure how it's locked.. if they really have spyware, it probably send details that the tab has been activated and continuously being used? Now if you unlocked it and use different ROM, they might detect that the device is no longer active but IMEI still connects to the Internet.. ?

I think better don't.. if anything goes wrong, can't find the official rom to flash back right?
