Hi, I plan to get Lenovo T16 (AMD)
But I can't find any review of this model on the Internet, anyone has one of this? What is your experience with this model? Feel free to share your thought on this machine.

One more thing, for these specs, it cost around RM5k, is this value for money?

It is thick at 20mm. Thick laptops shouldn't cost that much unless they have a dGPU.

Lenovo thinkpad usually are built for durability thus the thicker profile. Their design is not the latest, but overall quality/durability last quite long for laptop, got used 1 before and lasted almost 3~4 years before the hardware unable to support latest window.

16 inch is really big and heavy. 14inch the best but if you want entertainment with it 15inch is good. Get a dedicate mx550 nvidia.

Unstable as in what way? I have AMD processor on my desktop for years, didn't really have much issue with it, and AMD is a lot cheaper compared to intel...

That is...I don't really get it.

Anyway, I don't mind if it is heavier and thicker, 1.65kg is still acceptable. I will be using this for work, larger and good screen is important for me.
And I will be running Arch Linux, I heard horror story about nvidia graphic with linux, so I will have to avoid that, not to mention...intel model with similar spec cost at least 1k more...I did really want to know what and how unstable amd is....

Avoid AMD for now. Is luck for AMD cpu. Sometimes bluescreen sometimes reboot itself. Is all over the reddit.

been installing systems for decades now. No difference between the two brands which boils down to the quality of parts you use especially the power supply. Both brands have their fair share of bsod and stuffs.. You are just bias towards a particular brand or maybe you are affiliated in some way to intel.

I was looking at thinkbook 13s Gen 4. The ryzen 6800u option is there and it has got some good reviews.

Durable doesn't mean it has to be thick. 20mm is thick even for 2012 standards. You don't have to sound condescending without knowing what I have used or not used. It's just a forum. Does it make you feel better to know that you have used a ThinkPad?

Anyway let's go along with your game - I'm sorry I haven't been using recent ThinkPads. The last one I used was back in 2005 and I don't remember it being so thick back then. Now using a laptop worth almost 8k which I doubt is durable or as reputable as a ThinkPad.
