If the stock is on rapid growth path, still acceptable. Private placement is the fastest way to raise fund /capital for expansion without having to pay the borrowing interest. The setback , existing shareholders EPS will be diluted due to more share being issued. With the rapid growth which translate into earning growth, the EPS dilution will be cushioned.
If not on rapid growth rate - it is bad. If you are ikan bilis, the dilution effect is negligible most of the time…. |

Actually i know there are many of such S74 private placement deal who issue to benefit someone. As they can issue at a discount of up to 10% and immediately profit the arbitrage.
The company whom we were the advisor to, went into PN17 and ultimately delisted several years later. |
