Unless it's an original one, maybe better just buy another one that fits.

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 5 2023, 01:04 AM) yeah this one the hi cut is a lil too tall..... High cut is all high like that.currently eyeing Falco Liberty 3 and forma arbo. these are about 11inches from sole to top with similar fastening (zip + velcro). but just wondering if there are other gore tex options within budget. mid cut boots like the falco land 3 are a lil too short for my liking also thinking of selling my rs taichi riding pants and looking into a pair of gore tex pants too. Falco liberty is gonna be slippery in mud and dirt. Not suitable adventure off the tarmac. QUOTE(Jason @ Jul 5 2023, 01:10 AM) That Sidi adventure is really way too high for street riding IMO. I see the safety aspects but too uncomfortable to walk around with it. I got the Sidi Dune instead. Chear motor HQ got it in stock, can try and buy there. For a street bike with sporty riding position definitely not suitable.Personal observation I think boots with zipper or the quick strap system such as Sidi techno 3 is safer and easier to use than normal laces. Sadly the Sidi Dune was the old lace version. Spend more time putting it on and to ensure it is secured properly with the Velcro strap. For an upright sitting position in a touring bike it's quite comfortable. ![]() I sometime walk around the lab for 4 hours in these and still feel fine. One of the most comfortable boots (of any boots) that I have. Definitely more comfortable than my high cut safety boot |

my search finally ended last weekend...got my replacement for my Rev'It Trail H2O boots which is literally disintegrating. damn bang for buck boots. Bought at RM369 during some phased off clearance sale 5 years ago, done thousands of KMs with those boots. checked out 3 TCX Waterproof boots: 1/ TCX S-TR1 Waterproof - just looked ugly - but looks to have the best protection as its more race inspired. - also more expensive at 1.8k 2/ TCX Airtech 3 Gore-tex - Looks good in pictures but IRL is really ugly. - had a bit too much textile on the outer layer to have any confidence in it. prefer a more leather or leather-ish type outer layer. - also more expensive at 1.8k 3/ TCX Explorer 4 Gor-tex - Looks better than (2) but when walking around the sole felt really thin. and i have feet aches so no go for me - the sole also looked to be the slippery kind. - the ortholite inner sole is quite soft when pressed with fingers, but again, when walking around, sole felt really thin so instead i got me Rev'It Link GTX Gore-tex boots from LSH (RM1539 iirc) - full grain leather outer layer and looks more robust than the 3 TCX boots, especially when on the feet - also has ortholite soles but not as soft as the Explorer 4 when pressed with fingers. - overall thicker sole making walking more comfortable for me - sole also is a little more "studded" so abit more confidence especially on wet surfaces. - suspect itll be the warmest of the boots as it has zero textile outer layer so lesser ventilation compared to (2) & (3). » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « also picked up Alpinestars Andes V3 Waterproof pants from Bikeworld Kepong (RM1099 before 5% discount) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by mADmAN: Jul 15 2023, 04:23 PM Nightstalker1993 liked this post

No doubt the Revit will be made with better materials, given it's gore Tex and to justify the price and branding. Mine is pleather, and leaks...despite big waterproof logo on the shoe. QUOTE(mADmAN @ Apr 28 2023, 04:00 PM) find a spot with some air movement and heat sources to dry ur gloves. i used to put my gloves and jackets etc at the area where the aircond compressors are at if i reach the office wet. I carry Komine fabric gloves for wet weather riding, coz gloves will get wet no matter what anyway. Just squeeze out all the water and place them on the hot exhaust when you stop to dry them quickly.if no heat sources, try putting it directly in the line of air flow...even aircond air is fine as long as there is airflow. if got stand/table fan even better. both will still take awhile to dry but at least it can dry. also, waterproof gloves arent cheap.. and RM100 will barely get u copy ori non water proof gloves. ori n waterproof? maybe 5-6x that price. also as others have mentioned. no point in our climate. its gonna be hot and ull probably end up regretting it.....and the gloves will still probably get wet...on the inside... from ur sweat. If the gloves are of all-leather construction, some mink oil will make them water repellent... up to a point. This post has been edited by ZZR-Pilot: Jul 22 2023, 03:16 PM |

EDIT: just remembered i actually have the Clover SR-3. although they are longer, they arent gauntlet long. the IXON will be longer. got the SR-3 for super cheap coz it had a material flaw (cosmetic) and the shop owner just wanted to get rid of the stock. SR-3 is very airy n comfy to use also. i assume the SR-4 would be good for ur use. This post has been edited by mADmAN: Jul 22 2023, 05:45 PM |

Came across Alpinestars base mesh jacket for RM399, comes with CE level 1 shoulder and elbow armor.
Relatively cheap for original Alpinestars. Anybody using it? Really curious if the jacket itself has CE rating for abrasion and how it wears. Using a mesh jacket now that’s a bit difficult to take off and wear again when sweaty. |
