If you want less headache engage local malaysia agency. Downside: i dunno if you get your own tour guide in egypt. Like a proper tour guide, got go study how to explain egypt ancient history to you.

You want flexibility engage the tours there. Go tripadvisor and find reliable tour companies. I use emotours, dunno still exist or not. Last time i book, no need upfront payment. Pay cash on the spot. Damn reliable la.

They got standard 9d/10d package, i also forgot. Always got include 3n or 4n cruise. You will get your own tour guide. I went as a group of 4. So the tour guide is 1 to 4. The cost is inclusive of the tour guide. How much tips you want to pay is up to you. Can be as little as possible or zero. If less of you then 1 to 2 also can.

Alternatively, you engage the tour guide who can help you arrange the cruise and transport. You just settle hotel and flight on your own. Tour guide for cairo and between luxor and aswan would be different.

I attach the name card of my tour guide in luxor to aswan. I went to egypt in 2017. He used to work a short while in malaysia during arab spring time when tourist was down then. Dunno if he is still alive or active after covid. So this tour guide very good and can understand our malaysia slang.

I'm not saying egypt is safe like singapore but it's not that bad when i was there. I do fear post covid their hardships getting worse and safety can be a concern. Can always refer to government advice to go or not to go.

Just go, not so clean, ready for any sort of scams. Keep extra cash to bail yourself as tourist. Be mindful especially if you dont speak arabic.

Egyptian people are clearly mentioned in the Quranic verses and proven true, so just be mindful.
