Actually if there is a statement from them saying it is OK to do so, that would be good.

Because I don't want to face this problem where the Maxis staff tell me that I cannot do the switch from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink poatpaid due to some reasons.

I asked Maxis Twitter, they say cannot change from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Postpaid.
So I port out to Digi and the Maxis retention team called me and offer to change to Hotlink Postpaid.

So, better to call Maxis hotline to request instead of go to shop or twitter.

2 or 3 years ago I asked the sales person in Maxis shop whether I can switch from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink prepaid, and I got a No as an answer, along with a reason which I think it does not make sense.

If at last I still can't do that, I will choose to port out.

need to fully paid the postpaid. for me, always pay advance, so no problem.
then fill in forms, no need to change sim card.

in an hour or so, i unable to use maxis app, need to use hotlink app.

I just walked in maxis center and request switch to Hotlink postpaid, as soon as I provided my phone number to them, they straight away said my phone number is not able to switch to Hotlink postpaid.

It is required for me to switch to Hotlink Prepaid for one month first then only can switch to Hotlink postpaid.

Why is that different treatment between you and me?

So I have asked another Maxis center regarding switching from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Postpaid.
I got to know that the answer it is the same as previous Maxis center, where I am not able to switch directly from Maxis postpaid to Hotlink postpaid.
This is due to my existing plan, which is a legacy plan.
The path to switch from Maxis Pospaid to Hotlink Postpaid for my case is still Maxis Postpaid => Maxis Prepaid => Hotlink Postpaid

As for the duration on how long I should stay in Hotlink prepaid before switching to Hotlink postpaid, I got different answer from two of the Maxis centers.
Previous Maxis center told me to stay in prepaid for one month, and this Maxis center told me to stay for 3 months.

Anyway, I am also required to call 123 to perform the switch from Maxis postpaid to Hotlink Prepaid, as Maxis center is unable to do perform such switching.


I have called 123 to request switch to Hotlink Prepaid, and this time the customer service told me that to stay in Hotlink Prepaid for 30 days before switching to Hotlink Postpaid.
I have proceeded to make the switch to Hotlink Prepaid through the phone call, and they will call me back in 3 working days.

I am not sure, went to two different Maxis center and I got 2 different answer.
But the answer I got from call center 123 is 30 days, which is close to one month.

Yea, so far for my Maxis legacy postpaid plan, the route is Hotlink Prepaid first, then to Hotlink Postpaid.
This route has to be done via 123 call center.

i think better follow 123 at 30 days.
then call again 123 to change to hotlink postpaid.

What is "legacy plan" referring to? Maxis Postpaid 98 considered legacy plan now?

Legacy plan at that time means really old plan which does not shown on website.

Example "Talk & Surf" plan.
