I wanted to buy a gaming pc, maybe on Feb of 2023 after CNY.

I would have around RM4000 +- 200 as budget

Since i dont have any experience in building pc myself, can you guys suggest me some options for reference?

I plan to visit lowyat plaza myself to browse and buy pc physically. Since i dont really trust shopee and lazada gaming pc and neither the promoters since i heard that some promoters in lowyat might "scam" you if u didnt do enough research, im worried lol

Anyways,
Thank you in advanced for your help.

the right way to approach this by knowing what kind of game do you want to play.

check the games recommended requirements.
after that, then start looking for parts..
cpu.. gpu, mobo, psu etc......

Only then you find people to assemble it for you. (if you don know how)

I rmb long long long long ago I ask in the desktop/hardware section there, giving a budget and my requirement, tons of experts give their recommendation.

Then I use the recommended hardware and approach my local store, buy and assemble there.

u can find video and assemble yourself. i already assembled 3 desktop by myself. but the first 1 with guidance.

anyway i buy all my parts online from different sellers and assemble it myself. my longest desktop already 6 years and running. only thing spoil is the stupid hdd.

btw ur set still lack monitor, keyboard, mouse, speaker.

and how many fans u need? you will use stock cpu fan?

if u want go further u still missing desk and chair.

This one is for psu. Stick to tier A or B if you don't want fire hazards

Good time to buy, skip the new 3060 (Asus) that has less memory.

Motherboard (Intel)
Gigabyte B660M Gaming DDR4 (Intel LGA1700)
Processor (Intel)

RAM
16GB Dual Channel DDR4 RAM 3200MHz - 2 X 8GB (XPG, XMP)
1st 2.5" SATA DRIVE
500GB Crucial MX500 Solid State Drive
Power Supply
ILLEGEAR Plasma 500W 80+ Bronze Non Modular

RM4,104
Cash Price RM3,899

Estimate only, pls confirm with sales team.

I really like the casing; cabling is the best because it has lots of cable tie hooks. Can separate casing cable group, fans cable group, and PSU cable group easily.

CPU can consider 12400 instead of 12400F if can add money. Initially, I see 12400 has much lower temperature when it was first launched, but most mobo new BIOS have reduce 12400F temperature to 12400's level.

since you've already set a budget, which is good, check out www.logicalincrements.com to have a rough idea of components you can get for the price. that way you'll know what to expect when you do go to lowyat.
