In the past, Prepaid plans are normally considered cheaper than Postpaid plans. But now, I really can't see much difference between the two when comparing plans within the same telco.

For example, am looking to get Xpax package, and comparing between Postpaid & Prepaid options, cost-wise more or less the same for equivalent plans:

Xpax Postpaid 40: RM40
- 20gb data
- free use for Youtube, Fb, Instagram
- Unlimited calls

Xpax Prepaid Option 1: RM43
- 30gb data
- unlimited calls
- added free use as same as above for comparison

Xpax Prepaid Option 2: RM43
- Unlimited data
- Unlimited calls

Postpaid pro/cons:
[+] auto payment
[ - ] need to request termination if not needed anymore

Prepaid pro/cons:
[-] require to manually top-up/buy plan every month
[+] can just let number expire if not needed anymore

To me, seems like I Postpaid option is better choice as its just few ringgit cheaper, and able to auto pay.
Is there anything else Im not aware of between Postpaid & Prepaid pro/cons?

postpaid is 10gb + 10gb for 12 months.
after this you will need to port out or change to something else.
celcom dont allow to change from postpaid to prepaid.
porting out is messy and telco will try everyway to stop you.

the prepaid is fixed 30gb. easy.

I see. but the cons of needing to reload and subscribe every month on prepaid? or is there automatic way? and also I saw that the reload amount is rounded figure like rm30,50 etc. so If I need to pay rm43, means I have to top up rm50 and have balance every month?

Step 2: Select “Credit”, and turn on “Auto-Reload”

maybe the main problem was celcom expensive brows.gif
other telco prepaid I think cheaper and worth use compared to the postpaid same telco tongue.gif because many bonus/free data from prepaid that postpaid rarely enjoyed

certainly, prepaid main weaknesses need to reload enough money to get plan renew and account active

can you recommend other prepaid telco with similar specs? i chose celcom because:
1. I wish to get of Maxis/Hotlink because of horrible CS and currently having issues with them.
2. Heard Celcom coverage is best/next best for areas I am in
3. Digi coverage also bad for me.

Buy credit reload at discount price, the way prepaid can get cheaper compared to postpaid. For e.g buying RM20 credit reload at RM19.75, if RM100 can get RM1.25 discount.
